I ride a cruiser, I have two Honda shadows, the newer a phantom. I've recently gotten my 7&9 year old daughters 50 cc pit bikes and now have decided I have to ride one myself if I'm going to teach them. So, here I am, turning 40 this year and learning to ride a dirt bike this year with my girls. I love challenges and i love watching your videos because you also love challenges and you have a very positive outlook. Thank you

I have not watched the whole thing yet, so maybe you already figured this out… On 2 large logs close together, do not stop in between. Once up on the first log, hesitate or get very slow with your rear tire on top of the first log, then drive down the back side while gathering just enough throttle to get up the second log as you drop the bike into the “hole” between the logs and compress the suspension (both). Without stopping, continue up and over the second log as you normally would using the limited revs you have now built and the stored energy in your suspension from compressing after coming over the first log - don’t stop. Easy!!

I'm not sure if it's just your nature or that you're trying to be respectful to the broad audience on KZbin but I think you're a little too apologetic here Megs, this is exactly the type of training most of us should do once we're competent and safe to ride on our own, I don't think there's anything weird about doing this at all and I can definitely say that I've always gotten more meaningful practice in on my solo rides than while out with the group (we're all usually too busy messing about to do any real practice in the group anyway lol). Awesome video as always 👍

Hey mate don’t worry what others think, there not you. I have people tell me all the time I can’t do stuff after loosing both legs in a work accident. There’s nothing I can’t do, with or without my prosthetic legs. I was electrocuted by 19,000 volts 3 times kver 11 seconds four years ago, I was 30. This year I’m racing in the finke desert race on a wr450f I’m building that does 180klmh. Henry ford said, If you think you can, Or think you can’t, Your right.

Great video Megs, seeing a super human like you struggle helps make it a bit more real for us mortals and it highlights how much practice really needs to go into riding well. I live on Vancouver Island where it has been raining for 748 days straight, every log is wet and slimey and the rocks are covered in algae, traction is a myth we've only heard about or seen in Kyle's videos on the dirthbike channel. If you ever want a practice area, look no further, this place will either crush your dirt biking soul or help you develop god level skills.

hmm. one persons weird is another persons unique. Someone has to sponsor you for the Baja 1000 Ironman Motorcycle. Honest, saw your work in the dunes (the one where you roosted the camera at the end) and someone is missing one hell of a chance of making history by sponsoring you. Honest. Nothing would be as cool as seeing you follow the formula of Into The Dust 4, where you ride all the Baja events, the San Felipe 250, the Baja 400 and the Baja 500, and then the cherry 1000. I guess you have to be part of SCORE, whatever that is, but I know it requires money your don't have. So, everyone, Is Meg a future Baja 1000 Ironman? I think so.
