Thank you for this video, this exactly what I was looking for. To get a border on a chevron, have that border color star first each color row. Perfect. 😊

This is cool!👍♥️😃 I never knew how to do this so thank you for the tutorial. 🙏 I imagine this could be done in a way to add ribbon end cap clasps on it (you know... flat end caps with a lobster clasp that you add to the end of ribbon bracelets?). I make bench and wire jewelry but have never done this and I'm excited to make a bordered Chevron bracelet. Yours are very pretty !♥️ You have inspired me and fueled my creativity and imagination. Thanks again and btw, I subscribed. 😊

Thank you so much for all of your help. I am looking for a bracelet with a little more detail. Do you have a tutorial for the orange and white bracelet you are wearing in this video? Or can you direct me to a tutorial for this bracelet?

Thanks. I am a novice at macrame bracelets of any kind. I have pretty much mastered the candy stripe with the same color or at least three colors. Now...I just want a macrame friendship chevron bracelet with ONLY two colors with a border (that is the same thickness s the bracelet you created in this tutorial). How would you do a two color bodered chevron? I s there a tutorial somewhere?
@MegMakesCrafts2 жыл бұрын
Hi Tisa! You would knot it the exact same as this one, just to keep the thickness you would need to add an extra set of your strings in. For example, let’s say you’re doing a red border and then two tones of blue in the middle. The border wouldn’t change, you would cut your single red and fold In half, but if you only cut one of each blue your bracelet would be skinnier so you’ll cut 2 of each blue (or as many as you please). This way you have the same amount of strings in the middle but only two colours. You can choose at this point whether you want chunkier stripes by putting the two sets of the same colour side by side (dark blue, dark blue, light blue, light blue) or keep the single line look by alternating them (dark blue, light blue, dark blue, light blue). To make it even wider, you would just continue to add more strings into your centre chevron maybe three or four of each blue or more and more colours- totally up to you!

what kind of string do you use?? it looks like wax cord but i could barely do anything with how clumpy wax cord gets. the embroidery floss i have is really peel-ish & it get lent all over the bracelet.
@MegMakesCrafts2 жыл бұрын
I use embroidery floss. Cheaper floss will, I’ve found pill a lot and get fuzzy- still usable but the finished product won’t be quite as smooth. I’ve never personally used waxed cord before but I know it is popular with some makers.

If I wanted to do a tear drop loop with this would I have to start it differently?
@MegMakesCrafts3 жыл бұрын
Nope! You’d always start each row with a f/b or b/f knot and then do a chevron with the next colour of string
@levigagnebin50933 жыл бұрын
How do you transition from the bordered chevron pattern to the ending braid? I just starting doing bracelets 2 days ago so I’m a little lost
@MegMakesCrafts3 жыл бұрын
You just stop where you’re comfortable and start braiding’

The bracelet or the video? The bracelet takes me maybe an hour start to finish and the video took maybe half an hour of filming and an hour editing.

Why you did not put how much mm it is
@MegMakesCrafts Жыл бұрын
Because I don’t measure my string against a ruler. I literally don’t know how many millimetres it is, I just use my wingspan.
