Hi I really find your video helpful as I can very much relate since my partner and I are facing the same circumstance. I just have a question with your partner documents. Did you declare that you’re living in the same house or were the evidence of your packages dropping at his place enough? Thank you so so much! God bless.
@megannmonday3 жыл бұрын
Hiii, so glad this was helpful! Yes, we had to declare that we were living in the same house. We did this by asking our landlord if we could add my name onto his lease. We both had our separate condos, but we were mainly living at his place. The owners knew I was living there na rin, so I think that's why it was easy for them to just add my name. :) If you can't get this, maybe you can ask the landlord/owner (if you're renting) for a statement just to confirm that yes, you and your partner both do live at that address. Or perhaps it can be mentioned in the witness statements. Good luck, I hope it works out!! :)

Hi thanks for this! I got accepted from an interview by an Australian employer. They have an immigration agent to process the visa. I have done PTE and submitted all necessary documents to them. Currently is more like a waiting game for me na iapply yung visa (fingers crossed). Most probably it would be 482 visa (short term). Just one question, due to border restrictions, pano kayo nakapasok sa Australia when borders are closed? Did you get travel exemption? salamat!

Hi! Congrats, and the whole length of the video was all worth it! I got the same visa as you through my partner, and my worry is that, at immigration, they might ask me if I have a job/contract, as it is considered as open work visa. Towards the end, you said there were no questions asked, but I am paranoid over this! Did you book one way ticket? Any other questions that immigration asked you? I will be flying apart from my partner as she will be coming from Singapore.
@megannmonday3 жыл бұрын
Thank you! And yes, I can relate to that feeling. I was super paranoid that I really moved my life around so I could fly the same time as him. No info about this part kasi online! I had a one-way ticket. I had all my visa approval proof with me + the health insurance required before you can enter Australia on this visa. When we were at immigration, we were in different queues because he was an int’l passport holder so I didn’t even have him to back me up if ever. But when I went up na, I just showed my passport with the visa grant and it seems na it’s all in the system and they know what it is. I was just ready to answer na I will be looking for work when I get there, but no questions really. ☺️ I hope it’s as smooth for you! And congratulations too!

@@megannmonday super cool! I do hope mine goes as smooth as yours. I think you will be okay! It’s clear on the visa approval naman that you are secondary visa holder and not primary. So si partner talaga ang may work dito upon landing. And the visa gives rights to live and work eh. If it helps, we asked our immigration agent about this and she said the same thing - the visa grant & insurance was all I needed. My partner - the primary visa holder - is the one with more restrictions on the work since he is sponsored by the company so parang dapat he stays with them. hi pwd po ba yun maam,? kung halimbawa c hubby ang primary tapos sya lang alone ang mag s spoonsor sa akin ng partner visa pwd po ba yun? 482 visa holder po xa.at kung sakaling pwd naman na sya nalang mag spoonsor sa akin mahal kaya yun?
@megannmonday2 жыл бұрын
Hi po! Yung 482 visa po is an 'employer sponsored' visa.

@megannmonday3 жыл бұрын
Hi po! So in my case, as a secondary visa holder, I was not required IELTS. My partner naman, who is the primary visa holder (his work is the sponsor), was not required IELTS dahil he is a British national so english ang first language niya ☺️ But ang sabi niya sa akin is yung officemate niya na from another country and was primary visa applicant, nag-IELTS daw. So tingin ko yung primary visa applicant ang tinitingnan nila ng mas maraming requirements talaga 😊 Check niyo na lang din po sa Immigration website kung ano requirements para sure.

Hi po, from what I researched the short-stream isn't but the medium-stream can be, "if eligible". They have info on their gov site: immi.homeaffairs.gov.au 🙂

Hello, this is not required daw po kapag secondary visa holder ka. They require this for the primary visa holder. And in my experience, wala rin hinanap sa akin na ganito sa PH immigration and even here in AU 😊

Hello! It wasn’t too long for us, I think we got our results around 6-8 weeks after we lodged it. But this was before covid. I heard processing time is longer now.

@megannmonday2 жыл бұрын
Hi! Siguro po - but I am not sure. I have only experienced working with someone para sure kami na we have everything we need. The 482 visa can be quite complicated and I would recommend talaga working with someone. And also remember that with the 482 visa, you should first have a company who will nominate you 😊 If you have a company who is already interested, best to ask them for their recommendations or what they have done previously.

Hello!! Yes, of course! The 482 Temporary Skill Shortage Visa is an employer-nominated WORK visa, not a partner visa 😊 So ang kailangan is an employer who will nominate to sponsor you for that visa. You can have a look at the AU immigration website for more info, they really provide all the info needed there: immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/visas/getting-a-visa/visa-listing/temporary-skill-shortage-482 👍

@megannmonday2 жыл бұрын
Hi Mariel, it will depend on where you live 😊 Generally, my friends say it's really expensive in Sydney as it's a big city. It will definitely vary per state. You can browse through realestate.com.au to get a rough idea on renting at least. I think that might be helpful 😃
