Your video is very informative. I'm with visa 482 as well just about to start to process. I was wondering how much max amount of money can you bring ba? Is it USD 10K? Or can you exceed that limit and by how much? Kasi I'm planning to bring with me as much as I can. Is there any documentation required for that or approval?
@megannmonday2 жыл бұрын
Hello, the amount indicated in the passenger declaration thing is AUD 10,000. If over, you'd have to declare 😊 Kung over 10K kayo, baka better to split between you and the person you're travelling with. In my case, because we weren't married yet at the time, we were treated as two individuals and not a family - so we could split the 10K between us and it wasn't an issue. In any case, it's good to declare and be honest if ever. I've declared items here before and the customs officer experience I've had was pleasant naman. They just tell you what's allowed and what's not - and they'll take lang items that aren't allowed.

Hi Megan, Just wanted to ask, did you get an OEC yourself as a secondary visa holder?
@megannmonday2 жыл бұрын
No OEC required from me. When asked at immigration what visa I was on, I said 482 dependent & showed a print out of my visa grant. But if your primary is Filipino, they will need OEC. In my case, my primary is non-Filipino so no OEC needed from them either 😊

Hi Megann! I find your video very helpful and I wanted to ask some questions regarding my visa coz I just got my visa grant (TSS 482) sponsored by my husband's company and it was processed in Australia through Immigration Agent. So, what are the travel documents that I needed to bring when leaving the Philippines and entering Australia? Thank you for answering my question and looking forward to your reply ☺️

Hi Ruth, sorry I haven’t been as active on KZbin so I didn’t see this! I hope you’ve gone travelled through okay ☺️ If you haven’t yet, I only brought my printed visa grant and our Airbnb booking at the time cos we didn’t have a place yet. Pero they only looked at the visa grant for me.

Hello! I guess it’s a postpaid plan still cos I get billed monthly - it’s only P50 per month, to keep the number active 😊 If you call Globe and tell them you’re going overseas but want to keep your number active, they should know the plan you mean.

Hi Megann. I hope you and your partner are well. I’m not sure if this was asked here already, but was the pocket money that you brought 10k each or was that already for the both of you?
@megannmonday2 жыл бұрын
Hey! It was 10k for me lang, because I didn't have a job so I wanted to show na I have enough funds to sustain me kahit na dependent ako ng partner ko 😊 But to be honest, they didn't check money sa immigration. I THINK because it's a work visa, so they expect na si primary will earn naman when they arrive 👍

Hello Rochael! This will be case-to-case basis I think. Hello! I pay the travel tax 😊 Then at immigration, I tell them that I am a secondary visa holder/dependent on 482. I think sometimes they see it on their records naman, but sometimes they ask me pa rin what my visa is. So I always just have a copy of the grant or VEVO check ready in case.

Hello!! I believe you will still need to be nominated. Parang the company will need to put forth the nomination that they want to hire you, so may approval din yun with the AU immi. Then your application for the 482 will start to happen - it’s almost simultaneous I think. Us kasi, nag start na kami mag-prepare ng documents with the immigration agent while the nomination process was ongoing so that kapag ok na, lodge na agad ng application namin for 482. Hope that makes sense

Hello, are you applying for a visa pa lang po or approved na kayo and you already have a visa? If you are already a visa holder po tulad ko (482), they only asked me for my visa grant, passport, and boarding pass at the Immigration. But if applying palang po, you may check the Australian immigration website to see which visa to get. Maybe you can have a look at this po: immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/visas/getting-a-visa/visa-listing/temporary-skill-shortage-482/subsequent-entrant. That is their official government website so please have a look as it always provides the most up-to-date info 😊
