Fixed ONE earbud suddenly QUIET (How to)

In this video we are fixing our JBL TWS earbuds (in this case the waterproof JBL Reflect Mini NC). The problem is that one of the earbuds is a lot quieter than the other.
When looking into the hole of both ear-tips, then we can see that the one, which is quieter, has a blockage of dirt, grime and earwax, blocking the path of the sound. Especially the grid at the very outside is clogged.
We are soaking the earbuds in a little amount of rubbing alcohol in order to resolve the blockage. Leave the earbud in the solution for at least half an hour. Make sure not to dunk the entire earbud, especially in case your earbud model is not considered waterproof.

In my case it was also very sudden so I didn't expect it to be earwax. I would have thought earwax would have been more gradual instead of such a sudden drop in volume level

I've never commented on a you tube video before but I just had to say thanks. This was the easiest fix ever!! I'm so glad I found this. I actually soaked a makeup remover pad in the rubbing alcohol and left the ear bud wrapped in it for an hour before I removed it. I was concerned that the liquid would ruin them and this way only the end was in the liquid. Thanks again I'm so happy with the result

I've been using Sephia SP3060 earbuds for the last 2 or 3 weeks and was already having problems with the audio in the right earbud being barely audible. I took off the tips and used an alcohol swab to clean both earbuds on both grates on each side, and it did the trick. I never would've thought to try this, thank you very much!

I was gaving this exact problem and just assumed that after a year of use the right side had a prob. Initially, the right side touch controls had stopped working. Yo dude, I was already looking up my warranty and this fixed everything! Just the smallest amount of wax removed and not only do I hear the sound a lot better but the BASS is so much better again, sound like brand new! thank you so much!

OMG it worked !!! thank you, I used 90% alcohol and dunk it for a minute and a good wipe with a damped towel with alcohol and it worked like magic now my left side earbud has more volume !!! THANK YOUUUU !!

This worked perfectly for me! I was so worried that I'd have to get new earbuds because I really love my Edifier X3S, the right earbud was quieter. I didn't have any rubbing alcohol lying around but I had one of them alcohol prep pads that you use for wiping your phone screens before putting on a new screen protector. I just wrapped one of them on the earbud grille and held it for 2 minutes and it worked like a charm. Thank you very much for this amazing tip❤

Hot tip for you guys. Soak the tips the same way in boiling water and then alcohol separately as many times as it takes to loosen up the wax and also i found it still wasn’t working until drying it really well. So make sure when you’ve given it a good time soaking you give it a good dry with a fan or blow drier

Exactly the problem. On mine I could take off the screen with most of the adhesive remaining and used a very small glasses-type screwdriver to clean out the opening inside the earbud housing and was able to reapply the screen after a slight rub with my finger to wipe away excess dirt.

In 2 months my earbuds aero reflect, lowered volume - when new i could not use max volume but now i am at max and still is too low. I tried the JBL hot water 1mm dip but no change, brush them. But your method might work. I will try Thanks

Tried these with my Jaybird Vista. Left earbud wasn’t working. Put it in fairy liquid cup and left it in for 15 minutes. Took it out and dried it with a hair drier. Headphones are back to brand new quality. Omg. Wow.. Thank you!

I dipped my left skull candy earbud in 3% hydrogen peroxide on the lid for a few seconds then dried it with a piece of tissue and now my left earbud is back to normal I can hear again in my left ear. This video helped me out a lot I'm glad I clicked on this video 💯💯🎯😎🤗.

It worked!! Wtf?! I have the Senheiser Momentum 3 Wireless earbuds and my right earbud suddenly was way quieter. I've actually hardly used them and didn't see any wax build up in the drivers. I decided to give it a try and thank God man, I was worried about needing to deal with Senheiser support again to get a replacement (old issue was the left earbud didn't play sound at all suddenly)

Yes man it worked!! I was so worried i cannot fix. I needed to leave them in hot soapy water few min. Mine are JBL aero tws waterproof. And as a person here mentioned... try 2 times water then alcohol and it they will clean.
