I've done it. You could do AFR / AFR target 1 or 1+((afr-afr target1)/afr) They both do pretty much the same

On the MAXXECU there's this built in "AFR error" calculation. In the datalog you plot AFR (measured), AFR target (the afr table that is also present in megasquirt) and plot the error. The logger also allows you to go right over said cell in the VE table so it's super easy to do exactly what you've demonstrated. I feel like it would be easy for megalogviewer to implement that also.

Another great Turbine research video🏆 i found this video looking for how to tune the AFR when cruising in 6th gear. That area in 6th hear is closely shared or exactly sharing the idle numbers of the map. I want a good 6th gear cruise, but i want to be able to accelerate a little too.

Well this works to be sure, but you are manually doing stuff that MLV has tools for, including AFR error fields, and AFR Corr fields. Also, the main point of commenting here, is MLV can generate changes to the VE WITHOUT it being live. It can autotune a log, apply the changes, save the tune, and go drive again. Shout out too to Andy Whittle and also Phil Tobin, who started all this. Good info on both there channels as well as yours. Thanks for the vid..

@@blakerodriguez5999 yes the free version doesn't let you view logs longer than a few hundred data points. It's well worth the money imo for how useful it is

@Jonathan Foster what does this formula exactly do? Does it omit a certain afr target and changes it to all of your afr targets on the map? I've been trying to figure out if that is possible that way you don't have to create multiple custom fields for different afr targets

Great work man. I'm in need of help tuning a buck out of off cruise. It happens anywhere below 3500 rpm. And is very unpleasant. When you mat it she bucks,if you roll into it she's OK. Shouldn't applying this technique you showed, give me data that I can tune this prob?

I'm on the path to fixing my car with this video, however when I do everything just like this video my data log histogram only goes from 15 to 100. The other values arent displayed even if I add rows and columns.

Do you have metalog viewer HD ? The lite (free) version is limited on the number of log records it can read
