Thanks for taking the time to do that video. I have quite a few Malkoffs. I have never really tried using them with all the battery combinations with the sleeves and the dummy cells. That opens quite a few new possibilities for me to try. I started out using my lights for work and needed one for reading things in low and one that had throw. I like the idea of making one for emergency situations with all the options. Awesome.

Malkoff is really good in terms of being bomb proof. Never had an issue in a decade of using them. Thanks for watching!

The only person that does flashlight reviews in mid day sunshine ;-) ...yet still end up taking in more info and better ideas of what the light would be like in real world use than 90% of the reviews that are out anymore. R.I.P. WW

Nice review Mr. Woods Walker, and thanks for sharing. I'll have to check this model out. I currently use a Fenix PD35.

I have some Fenix lights as well. They seem ok. Thanks for watching!

Yeah, they meet my needs. I have to admit, the Malkoff appear to be top of the line.

Fenix is solid as a rock for quality!! Malkoff however is a step above that, Malkoff is a “Drop the light off a 3rd story roof onto concrete and it still works fine” flashlight.

You know I was just getting ready to build a kit like this. But then we on CPF learned that the Malkoff M91will run down to 3 volts! It basically is an omnivore all by itself. 3-9 volts is a huge range and allows a ton of options.

I had to plug in all the different possibilities into my supercomputer. Very impressive.

After putting together my Surefire G3 Omnivore thanks to your last video I can't wait to see the quality of this setup with the stuff Gene puts out. Awesome work my friend. Ill be saving up for this for Prepper Clause. Lol.

The G3 is really good. Same for 9P and C3. Dang hard to find as no longer in production.. I never had a Malkoff drop-in fail after a decade so that's what it's all about. Had unexpected failures from some other lights but never a M60/M61/M31. Also the twisty tail cap is bomb proof. That's why I carry an extra for the MDs and even my G3 which has a McClicky switch installed. Thanks for watching!

Nice video, Brother ! I had never really thought about the varying voltages used in flashlights, and anything outside of the "low, medium, high, strobe" standard. And definitely never thought of mixing/matching tail caps. Does that "sleeve" come with the flashlight ? Keep up the great work !!!
@MegaWoodswalker6 жыл бұрын
No. It's listed in one of the links from Overready under sleeves and spacers. Sometimes you can use 1XAA in a flashlight which uses 2XAA with a spacer as well so long as you know the voltage range but using lower voltage doesn't hurt anything in my experience. Just too much can be an issue. Thanks for watching!

Great video woods. I bought an MD3 for my M60LL but think I will get a low voltage M31 for it as well. I never go into the woods with out my Malkoff and and HDS they are the only lights I really trust.

I also have an old M60LL. It lives in a pre lockout OD G2. It was used during week long hurricane power outages. Entire town pitch black. It was my only Malkoff at the time and the only light I trusted. Have a M61NLL with 2XCR123 for my deep cold camping backup in well used yellow G2. Thanks for watching.

Hi sir I have the very same as many of us do I was thinking when using cr123a battery there's is enough room inside to build like a kind of sleeve to put 3 battery (123a) and be wired in parallel so there still would be 3 volt but draining on 3 battery instead of 1 would nt that be great 3x runtime !

Not used however think the tracks are normal. Not sure. Lots of trails go accross and along them. Thanks for watching.

I got it some time ago for around 22 dollars. 1000d near as I could tell. But when looking on line for a link to answer your question it was hard to find. It's the large size and I think it is this. www.elitesurvival.com/molle-gear/flashlight-pouch-large-molle/
