There's also two fuses beside the one you replaced. I've a problem with the insulation resistance test on my 1502. When I try to do an insulation resistance test it just displays 500mA and the blown fuse symbol. I've checked the 4 fuses I could find and no joy 🤷‍♂️

Did you really replace a ceramic fuse with a glass one? If my MFT 1552 ever develops that fault I'll know what to do. Yes, it is a rip off to have to return your instrument to the manufacturers to replace a fuse, so you had nothing to lose by opening your tester. Good job👍

See 0:56mins ceramic external fuse. Internal fuse was and is still glass.

@@deuceelec 1:26 but it looks like you are holding a ceramic fuse whilst pointing to the glass internal fuse, that's why i am confused. Is the fuse you are holding a different style glass fuse?

@@curtisj2165 Initially yes, I only had a glass fuse available, I used that to confirm that was the fault and once I new the meter was not damaged I replaced it later with a ceramic (1AF 250v) as I had to order them in. Apologies for late reply.
