I just put some Continental ExtremeContact DWS06 on my 18 Accord. Love the ride, and they are almost a velvety feel on the sidewall, never felt another tire like it before. Much quieter than the OEM Michelins that it came with. It is my first set of Continetals. I am def considering Continentals going forward on the other vehicles.

If you have a lifter tick, you need to fix it. The lifter roller is wearing into the camshaft. The lifter roller isn't spining. That hardened metal will get into the bearings, and you'll need a new eng. Don't wait to fix it. You'll need to remove the vvl solenoid under the intake and see if there's metal on the screen. If there is, you need an engine. Even if you replace the cam, it's going to get a rod knock. The lifters fail because the camshaft was moved higher in the block for better valvetrain geometry. What happenes though is it gets less oil that bathes over the camshaft, and it wears out. It's an inherent design flaw.

Theres actually recalls on the Hemi vavletrain issue, info I found says the hemi design itself is at fault - the roller lifters rely on splash oiling from the crankshaft, but because the roller lifters only drop oil on either side of the cam lobes plus the cam is located so high in the block the splash oiling doesnt lube the cam well enough and the cam wears early from lack of lubrication - theres no real fix for this near as I can tell except for limited idling time as the cam only gets splash oiled at upper rpm but not low speeds and at idle.

Put Flowmasters on it. Stock mufflers sound like wet farts. Also a gear-reduction starter would be a good investment for starter heat sink issues, as it doesn't have to turn as much to efficiently start the engine.

Definitely install a performance camshaft when you get the cam and lifters done. You already have to do it, you might as well improve the performance when you do it.

Hemi tick is usually associated with the 6.4 with MDS. Never actually heard of hellcats developing this issue. Hellcats don't have MDS, better flow oil pump, and better lifters. This tells me this car was never serviced, and thrashed it hard.

Was looking for a comment similar to this I have a wk2 Jeep Srt and was doing alot of reasearch on the mds system recently. I found out that the manual cars don't have mds only the autos, didn't know that the 6.2s didn't get mds. The more you know ig lol

AFAIK the A8 Hellcats still have the MDS, but the M6s don't. The tick in that engine is not from the typical issues.

When I drove it hard the starter feels like it's heat soaked as the Wizard passes in front of the car the full beams are on. Starter is used for a whole 3 seconds maybe rusty grounds.

Well I just got a nice dent in my Hellcat and finding someone to touch the rear quarter has been a major pain. A lot PDR people don't want to try due to the access and the body shops all say they can get the dent out on the body line but paint patching Pitch Black is an issue. I am pretty pissed.

Tyler I have a 2020 Hellcat that developed the Hemi tick literally 200 miles after the warranty ran out. If you have Wizard fix it, do yourself a favor and put at least a stage 3 cam kit in it. The fuel system doesn't have to be upgraded or anything, and it takes the power from 707 to 870. Its cheaper than the OEM cam kit, increases power, and sounds so good at idle.

The original owner has likely not maintained the car properly and the oil is old and gunky. I'd change the oil and add some Marvel Mystery to it before I'd rip the engine apart. What have you got to lose. Or run some engine cleaner through it before you change the oil. Amsoil makes a great cleaner. BG does too. I'd try either of those or both first before an engine tear down.
