This is exactly what happened to me with 'bhoot jalokia' (the hottest chillies in the world in my opinion). My friends (in Meghalaya) had warned me and I thought I was used to spicy food, but this stuff was something else - I was oozing out fluids from all body orifices after I took a small tiny bite. Amazing stuff I have to say.

@@rdxratul8403 Thanks for the information. Indeed it looks a lot like Booth Jalokia (the ones I tried), and probably related closely. Carolina Reaper seems to be a more recently developed cultivar. I am yet to try this, now that you have enlightened me about it :)

Manipur Umorok is recorded as "World Hottest chilli" at one time. They make hybrid from Local chilli × Chinese variety chilli. The same can be found in Nagaland, Assam, Meghalaya & other northeast.

Naga king chilli was recorded first than Umorok. Naga Raja Mircha one of the hottest chilli in the world. Umorok is just a copy cat of Naga chilli. Otherwise, they should have recorded before Naga king chilli. Like Dziikou vally, it was never been part of Manipur. All tourist or trekker get through Nagaland. I saw in internet Manipuri claiming Dziikou. False claim.

Carolina reaper is the hottest chilly in the world not King chilly, and yea let's not argue about the origin of this chilly which honestly i don't know about,it's hot no doubt and it has different names in different regions like in shillong we call it 'bhep' and it tends to be spicier in warmer plain areas.

Do you home work first. Who said Naga king chilli is the hottest chilli in the world. Correct your yourself first with your ignorant brain. See the sentence again, i said one of the hottest chilli in the world. I know before you Carolina Reaper is the hottest chilli in the world. No need to teach me. Guiness world record Naga King Chilli was recorded before any one in the Northeast state of India.

Never mess with the Naga king chilli. And for general information,Naga king chilli and bhoot jhalokia are two different varieties of spices. Assam people should try indigenous Naga king chilli and bhoot jhalokia in the same day and find out for yourself whether the pepper strength is same or different. I can eat two fresh bhoot jhalokia at one go but I can hardly eat half of Naga king chilli. Carolina reaper is considered the World's hottest pepper with SHU of more than 1.6 million. Whereas, bhoot jhalokia is only around 6,00,000 SHU. Naga king king chilli is around 1 million SHU. Learn the difference.
