Shouldn't Harry have explained things to Meghan, especially as he continuously states how concerned he was about Meghan entering the RF and all the scrutiny that brings, both from the family (which can happen with all families when a new partner is introduced), from the country, and from the world? This was Meghan’s lack of understanding the British culture. It’s not just formal with royals. I married a British man and my mother in law would invite me over for dinner parties. Everyone also dressed very nicely, the table was set immaculately, three course meal of appetisers, mains and a dessert which was normally chocolate lava cakes. It’s lovely and I love these formal dinner parties. Can you imagine having a dinner party with the ROYALS and walking around barefoot in jeans?! I’m American and even I KNOW that is not what’s done. That’s how I’m used to dinner parties being done as well. I know it’s individual between families, but we use it as a reason to get dressed nicely and make something that takes a bit more effort to eat. IMO she wanted her clothes choice to say, “I’m so cool that I’m not star-struck about meeting you”. I guess some people here ae so desperate to she her in a negative light. She's clearly a descent person and that Harry has found peace and happiness. Yet there are still these revolting individuals that need a person to audit their distain for a woman of color and a couple that clearly were embraced by the British public, definitely in their Australia and New Zealand tour. More than the other members in the family and they hated it. Why is that? Because they're genuine and don't stand behind their obvious position, but their genuine desire to connect with people. It's sad they left under those circumstances but at least they can have a life on their own terms. Something most of us take for granted.

No, the dinner was inside Kensington Palace, so she was barefoot in ripped jeans inside the royal palace, that’s how she welcomed PW & PC for dinner. Just imagine what the palace servers thought. MM talking about formality HINTS at the picture she wants everyone to think - that PW & PC are “cold”, as if the RF never have fun & warmth in private.
