Thank you so much that means a lot man! I put a lot of effort into the parts for this and I'm really happy with the way it came out. Share with your friends! :)

Hellll yeah! You like to pick out the same style of fills that I do whenever I play along to EDM or something like this. Except you're more than a fair bit ahead of me on chops and fluidity with it. Excellent job! Makes me want to play.
@bachatman9 жыл бұрын
Bradley Chatman Actually, now that I watch it again, I think I probably relate more to the groove sections more than anything. You tailor the grooves to fit the song and only stick out enough to be really tasteful. Again, well done.
@Mikeondrums249 жыл бұрын
Bradley Chatman I'm glad you pointed all that out haha you basically just outlined everything I do when I do covers like this. When I do a song like Physical Education by AAL, the drums are very intricate so the point is to replicate them as accurately as I possibly can. Something like this though definitely needs a bit more if you're going to cover it on the drums that is. The hardest part though is exactly what you said, trying to keep the grooves in line with the original drum track while adding a little extra here and there without being too distracting. I had the same kind of challenge when I did my Hoodie Allen cover back in November. Do you have any covers up of your own? I'd love to check them out!

+Mike Di Guglielmo Yeah but I haven't done one like this in a long time. Last one I did with my own interpretation was probably Can't Afford It All by Jakubi.

Awesome cover. What heads do you use?
@Mikeondrums249 жыл бұрын
+Andrew Stevenson Thanks man! I've got a coated Evans Genera G2 on the snare, clear Evans Genera G2's on the toms, and an Evans EMAD2 on the kick drum and they sound great. When it comes to heads I keep it pretty simple (with the exception of the kick because I love that head to death lol)
@ant_jemima_85749 жыл бұрын
Sweet man, cause I just got a new SJC kit but I'm not a fan of heavily coated remo coated emperor heads that came with it, so I'm lookin around to find some opinions on what clear heads to get. Will definitely look at these
@Mikeondrums249 жыл бұрын
+Andrew Stevenson congrats on the new kit man, yeah like i said i like to keep it simple with heads. there are a lot of complicated and advanced heads out there with crazy muffling engineering and this and that which is cool and all but to ben honest if you know how to tune your drums, you can get a great sound of out of them with a simple 1 or 2 ply clear or coated head. i definitely recommend the evans genera g2 clears if you're in the market for new tom heads. Lemme know what you end up going with
