Guys, don't worry about missing things in the places you visit. As you said, they'll always be there for you to come back and visit again. Besides, imo you'd need a lifetime to know all the wonders in Spain. I've been travelling inside the country since I was born, and in 25 years I haven't been able to visit everything! The good thing about you is that you step out of the touristic sites and visit wonderful places unknown to foreigners, and get to see the true colors of every Spanish city. Hope you have fun in the Canary Islands! In La Gomera, there's a language spoken just by whistles. Hope you're able to see them comunicate!

Thank you! With all there is to do here, it would definitely take more than a lifetime! I️ don’t think this will be our last time in Spain. And that is so interesting in La Gomera. I️ hope we can make it out there!

Not everyone will be able to come back so buying tickets in advance is mandatory.

Yes, yes, yes! Make time for meals, stay hydrated and get good rest! I know you both are so excited, I don’t blame you! But pace yourselves. Take the time to immerse and throughly enjoy each moment. Ok.. enough Mom lecture. I am so enjoying your adventures! ❤

Get the tickets for Medina Azahara, Córdoba.... Don't wait to get there, or El caminito del rey in Málaga, or you'll never see them. And lots of other places.... I'm in León and I always make plans for everything here in Northern Spain. Over 30 years living in Spain, wouldn't change it for any other country.

The interior of Alhambra is one of the most spectacular things you can see in your lifetime. I've visited 80 countries, and very few things are that impressive.

Sorry for that, but since a lot of years it's necessary to book in advance, at least 15 days. Lot of people visiting these days.

Don't worry too much about not being able to enter to the Alhambra. I mean.. well, yea, would have been better to be able to do so, but .. if there is a pre order ticket and an expensive price, i would bet that lot of people of Granada itself doesnt go within there very often. You have mentioned that you were not able either to enter to Sagrada Familia, in Barcelona, and.. look, i live 15 minutes walking from there, and have been more than 20 years since the last time i visited the inside. Years ago you, before the touristic boom, if you wanted to go there, you just did go there, and even the ticket amount price was voluntary. Since is an expiatory temple, the price to pay was according about how siner you felt, since the ticket was to expy your sins. You didnt feel guilty, you didnt need to pay, in fact. but.. well, since the construction is built with the revenue of the tickets only, more or less, everybody used to pay. But.. nowadays.. i don't even know how it works, nor how much is paid for the entrance. Someday i will go, i guess. btw.. i wouldnt have gone to parc Güell. until a few years ago was free, just a park with buildings. And now i wouldnt feel in the mood to pay for that. You can blame our current city major for the ticket thing in park güell. to me is not justified at all. Depending on what you prefer to visit, or from what historical period, there are places free to go, amazing, and not crowded with tourists. Now you have been in Granada.. If i would have been there and unable to enter the Alhambra, i guess that i would have gone into the cathedral. There is always an amazing cathedral to visit, in this kind of places. And maybe some palace in the mid of the town. or a market.. i dont know. Now you go to Almeria, in think that ive understood. i was in malaga lots of years ago, but not been in Almeria. My guess would be the cathedral, some castle (it uses to be also a castle always), maybe some palace or a monastery, and walking the downtown ("callejear"), but my 1st stop would always be the tourism office: all spanish touristic cities or towns have one. they use to be near the city council or the main square (plaza mayor). If not, in a very touristic place, but near the city center. They will give you a map in paper for free, information about the places and how the ticket stuff works, and indications about how to reach each place. So Almeria maybe would be a good place to start to try this theory: 1st place to visit, the tourist office.

@Meghanandmatt Жыл бұрын
The tourist office is a great tip! And I find that really interesting that you once only had to pay to enter the Sagrada if you felt “guilty”. We did as much as we could while we were in Granada and I think there’s some other epic things in the area that would bring us back someday!

Do not eat olives fresh off the tree. Toxic
@Meghanandmatt Жыл бұрын
Had no idea! Thanks for the heads up
@JoseFcoBN Жыл бұрын
They are not toxic, if you bite into it you will understand that you will not be able to eat it, but if you eat it it will not hurt you, the best, healthiest and most delicious oil in the world is extracted directly from the olive, and from the first press, the extra virgin oil comes out , and I think that if you try it you will realize that in the rest of the world, they sell something else, by the way, the best table olive is the Sevillana manzanilla, when you try it, the rest is not the same...
