I have played the game twice now, but I still love watching others play it because you can notice so much more when it's not you in control. I am now not sure if Rook actually disrupted Solas' ritual. Even after the statues fell he still turned around to continue piercing the Veil, which is why Varric jumped at the dagger. Something to ponder. I love your playthroughs!

Because of all the negativity the sales dropped and the games were cancelled. Now the Halo TV show was cancelled because they couldn’t attract more viewers with all the negativity.

Same. Just finished it a few days ago. Loved it! Yeah, I of course had my share of critiques here and there. Some of the level designs were too linear, some of the battle music could be too repetitive, and I think the ending, while more or less satisfying to me, lacked a forceful impact. But overall it is a more than a solid game with a story I very much got into, characters that I grew to love and become invested in, and solid gameplay. I especially like the change they made to combat system. Mages could feel too spammy in previous games; just hold down the attack button and let it auto attack. This one has a much more tactical and strategic feel to it. I enjoyed how so much of the lore was wrapped up too. We finally have answers to questions going back to origins, and all the Chantry tales and beliefs have their real explanations now. We see how interconnected the world and it's people really are, and how so many things we thought were wrong. I don't get the hate. But then again, we see this more and more. Self entitled and spoiled brats who go out of their way to review bomb a game, solely because it is not what they PERSONALLY and EXACTLY wanted it to be. They did that with TLOUS2. I give Dragon Age: The Veilguard a solid 8.5 out of 10. For comparison, I give Origins a 9 out of 10, DA2 a 7/10, and Inquisition a 9.5/10

For the first two weeks it was littered with grifter and incels and it was very jarring. They even deliberately commented on game guides which I honestly don’t even understand if you’re not gonna play it anyways. Now they’ve moved on to the next thing. It will undoubtedly happen again in Mass Effect 5. Having finished the game already I just wish we’d get more role playing options like previous bioware titles such as mass effect 1-3, but other than that I had a lot of fun. Starting my second playthrough as an elven death mage already. my canon rook is a human grey warden who’s best friends with Davrin and co-dad to assan and romanced Neve. I really hope we don’t have to wait another 10 years for Dragon Age 5 and it’s very obvious that there is a plan for future installments since there is an unlockable post credits scene.

@@luisz222 From what I've heard, Bioware is mainly focused on developing Mass Effect 5. And with the Amazon Prime show coming along, Mass Effect 5 could come sometime in either 2026. My guess is that Dragon Age 5 will come out sometime in either 2028, 2029 or 2030.

It breaks my heart how negative the discourse around this game has been. As a millennial who started playing DA in high school, this game is everything I wanted and needed right now (minus the big tatas and fat ass). I have laughed out loud, kicked my feet, and sobbed my eyes out so much over the last week. Finished my first playthrough yesterday, and I'm just grateful to the team for keeping the spirit of DA and being respectful of the fanbase. No, it's not perfect, but it hit the emotional levels I needed and answered decade-old burning questions. It gives me hope for the future, and I seriously think Rook is my favorite protagonist so far. I felt like I was given dialogue choices that I would actually say, the tone was always what I expected, and I got to be the person I am/want to be. I love the heart of this community and the world of Thedas so so much.

Ngl I started playing Veilguard last night and I have to say that the gameplay is nice and story is ok. I just wish it was open world like Inquisition, the Dragon Age vibe is not totally there this game is so much different then all the Dragon Age games. After 7 hours of gameplay I will have to give this game a solid 6/10. Just wish I spend more time on creating my Inquisitor lol.
