Very excited for all of this but with reservations. Hopefully the Marvel stuff won't be too limited online so everyone can get them. I appreciate that Walmart wants to cater to collectors, but their treatment of collectibles when shipping has been abysmal. They'll need to clean that up quite a bit. Regardless, I'll be first in line for a Devilina!

I would love to have a fighting chance to get the figures. I'll never forget seeing the message( pre order sold out) and being disappointed. I never had a chance to buy the Big lot store variation of Batman as the stores in my small town never carried them.Then, to find out scalpers on EBAY selling them for triple the price. Please make enough for every collector and Mego fan.

Marvel being a disney exclusive is really not great news, at least for International collectors, as the online Disney Store doesn't ship internationally and the European Disney Store generally doesn't get those exclusives. So We'll probably have to depend on ebay for those at scalper prices . As for Atlas, while I remember enjoying the comics, is there really a market for those? i'll be getting those though, IF they're available outside of Walmart as their website doesn't ship abroad

The only announcement that could have topped this would have been the Archie super heroes. Having said that I grew up with Atlas. I was right there when they changed direction and I didn’t care because all that meant was more looks to these new characters. Brian, I’m with you on a Destructor figure. He was my fave. When he’s done I hope they’ll be a variant costume. Besides him I want Tiger Man, Cougar and Phoenix!

Are you referring to DEFIANT when mentioning "Plasam"? I wholeheartedly agree that Mego action figures associated with nineties publishers could be very popular. I'd certainly buy toys based on The Strangers, The Solution, Protectors, Ex-Mutants, The Good Guys, Dogs Of War, Harbinger, The H.A.R.D. Corps, etc.

Mego announced the Devilina figure, presumably because the production of a Devilina film with Paramount's involvement was already announced publicly a couple of months ago. There are now images online of a Grim Ghost figure by Mego. The current majority owner of the Atlas Comics library is Steven Paul, who previously produced the Ghost Rider films; and New York Comic Con, where these Mego figures will be premiering, is just days before Halloween. So perhaps the other two Mego figures will be Atlas characters that are either monster types, like Taranatula, or are otherwise supernaturally themed, like Rich Buckler's Demon Hunter? Personally, my two favorite titles in the original Atlas Comics line were The Scorpion Planet of the Vampires. But it would be hard for me to envision really distinctive Mego figures being made from Planet of the Vampires, especially just a single one right now among four premiering at NYCC.

They did manufacture and include a Flash figure in one of the waves directly before the one with Reverse Flash. (Red) Flash seemed to be a last-minute announcement for that wave, based on how it was introduced on the official MEGO Facebook page, but it did get out there. I bought one at a nearby Walmart at the time. Online chatter seemed to indicate that they sold out fast; folks are free to update or revise my observations if I misconstrued anything, thanks.

No offense, but. Atlas? Why? I have been delighted ever since Mego came back, but these days they do seem to be a small operation that takes time to release new product. Why waste time & $ on characters no one knows? Marvel, yes, 100%! We've all been waiting. What Mego should be producing: Marvel DC Star Trek Horror (Including more Universal & Hammer) Repeat.

I imagine acquiring the Atlas license is exponentially cheaper than Marvel. So it's perhaps more profitable to release an Ed Tyler toy than Jean Grey. Besides, you're acting as if Seaboard characters will never appear in new stories which is not the case. There's a reason why the Key Collector Comics website refers to them as Atlas (Paramount) nowadays.
