Hornetroid! What an awesome toy for its day. I loved it, and the Alien Micronaut figures it went with.🦟👽🐜

Is the Mego Meet the same weekend every year? I have to pick my vacations in January and I would love to attend next year. Please bring the Spider-Man you had in your pocket on your wedding day. I've been a Spider-Man fan for the last fifty years. Ever since I saw live action Spider-Man on The Electric Company TV show. You really touched me, with "He was in my pocket when I got married and he will probably be in my pocket when I get buried." I promise I'm just a fan of your channel and Spider-Man

That is just absolutely bananas. I'm kind of glad that I stopped collecting toys because the FOMO is ridiculous. That said I have FOMO now of missing interesting editions of movies, so there's that.

My Mom gave me a Dr. Steel action figure for my birthday when he first came out - pre-P.A.C.K. so he didn’t have the wolf tattoo on his hand. Even as a kid (about nine years old) I could recognize that this was a very different direction for Big Jim who, up to that point, had been primarily about sports and adventure. In my mind I was certain Dr. Steel could kick Jim’s butt in a fight.

Great video. Love seeing the other side of SDCC. I never knew anything vintage would be available there. All other videos focus on new stuff which is fine but I have a soft spot for the vintage. It’s so hard to resist. Please keep these videos coming!!😅

Fantastic to see, and quite a soothe for the FOMO I had in not attending. And, yeah, Mark should have a show. But he can’t be one of the producers. 😊

Thank you for that look at SDCC Brian and glad you came back feeling positive! I wondered what kind of vintage merchandise might be there since it seems to be mostly about major toy, film and print media. You gave us a nice view of what the many other youtubers basically gloss over since...look...shiny and bright thing over there! 🙂

Would you say on the whole these prices were high or relatively normal? They look high to me just on a general level.

There were some deals here but with the rent being what it is, they were generally higher ticket for sure. That booth costs a fortune.

@@BrickMantooth Thanks, Brick Man. I haven’t been to SDCC in many years, but I do remember the very high prices. WonderCon had much better deals, at least years ago. I really enjoyed this video and the way it totally took the viewer into the convention space. Thanks!

It took me a long time to find your table, and when I did i... chickened out 🐔. I guess I'm not as social as i thought, it was like seeing Gabe Kaplan in person - I guess I froze. I walked by you so many times - i was the guy dressed like a crazed yacht rock captain. Anyways glad you had a great time, so did I! Maybe next year (i hope you go again)! It's a shame you don't collect any modern stuff, Brian. There's some REALLY cool stuff being made by all sorts of companies. NECA in particular makes some amazing things (just got the Creature From the Black Lagoon from them and he's incredible). Maybe not as much clunk as you like in your toys, but different enough to be collecting, I'd say. I'm absolutely all in on their new ultimate Pee-Wee, and the NECA Elvira occupies a place of honor on my shelf. The new Super Powers line has been extremely fun to collect, too. While I'll always love vintage stuff (always), modern lines are pretty awesome, too.
@BrickMantooth3 күн бұрын
I do own some of that stuff and it's glorious. I guess it should have come out that I didn't want to talk about new toy reveals. Other people do it better and my heart belongs to old cardboard and plastic.

Great video. I really enjoyed it and lived vicariously through your presentation. I have one question though, and it's kind of cheeky. Is the smell of b.o. a real thing or is it the thing of legend, stereotypes and/or comedy? I take your comment to heart about talking toys and not people.
