Could the last toy have been from the animated series Return to the Planet of the Apes? In that show, the apes had technology like automobiles, airplanes, and television.

It looks better than anything Mattel made for Battlestar Galactica at the time.

Finally!! Thank you so much for getting marvel. Mego figures were so cool n fun to play with growing up as a kid n 70's. Me n my brother loved them. He was always a Batman guy n me a spiderman guy, no matter what. They even have the most popular villains. I got my new set in this past wk n just smiled bcuz my eyes lit up just as they did 50yrs ago opening up my 1st spiderman. They look great

I thought this vehicle looked more like a futuristic medical facility/capsule and that’s how I used it (mainly with my Star Wars figures, of course). On a side note, those prototype Buck figures in the ad look amazing!

Mego and Kenner (Apes and Star Wars) are my very favorite lines of all time.

I was 8. I had the whole 3 3/4 line, starfighter and a few of the 12 inchers. I remember being disappointed Buck never wearing the uniform on the show, and that the figures didn’t look like the prototypes. My Aunt offered to buy me the laser ship, but even as a kid I knew it was crap and declined a free toy. LOL. Also, the uniform on the 12 inch Buck looked very fey. A white body stocking and white nurse slippers. Wow. Also remember that Christmas was unseasonably warm and playing with Buck in my sisters Cyndi dollhouse (one of her Christmas gifts). Great times

I was always curious about that toy. I saw it in the Montgomery Ward and Sears catalog and Hills Department store but never played with one. Cool to finally see what the fuss was about. I'm happy you got this Brian and Happy New Year!

I had both Batman & Robin action figures and I had the Batcave. I was obsessed with the Bat Signal as a 6 year old kid, I barely remember playing with cave itself.

Watching this made me remember that I had this toy; I’d forgotten.

The "Onion" satirical news outlet had a great story featuring a pic of this toy, the headline reading " Cool toy yanked from store shelves because stupid kid ruins everything by choking on plastic part"

mego figures outside of micronauts were awful, which sucked because the sculpts were really nice.

Why are so many of the stickers thereon so askew? Is this how it came from the factory/out of the box?
@BrickMantooth4 күн бұрын
Likely because it was originally assembled by a kid.

Does anybody know the name of the bootleg toy that’s a plane with a superhero action figures head and arms attached to it?? I’ve been trying to find it again on eBay, but I forgot the name, I do remember that there are multiple different versions, such as a Batman one , action man one, a regular looking guy one, and a Japanese superhero one!! Thanks to anybody who wants to help me!!
