FAQs - Read before asking a question. I forgot to mention in this video, if you need to unbind a brush from a tool just do /none. Also, note that it's possible to accidentally bind a brush to your hand if you're not holding any tools in which case you'd use /none to remove it. For anyone asking about the max brush size being small. If you are using worldedit for singleplayer, here's how you can fix it. 1. Go to your .minecraft folder then go to config > worldedit. 2. Inside this folder you should have a worldedit properties file. Open that in notepad or a similar program, and change the max-brush-radius to a higher number. 3. Save the file and see if that helps. If anyone can improve this answer feel free to let me know. :) For anyone asking about the red outline for your selection, you need to download a separate mod, Worldedit CUI.

How do I do this is Forge was used to instal WorldEdit? There’s no properties file and if I try and open any of the world edit files using notepad it’s just a bunch of strange characters like “Ïöêqwŵâdxç”

Funny how these advanced tutorials are what I expected to find when I searched for basic tutorials. Just covering every command by explaining it and demonstrating it. This is amazing! I just used the brush and mask function to "paint" a mushroom biome's mycelium into grass, without damaging the default ground shape or giant mushrooms, and it only took me like 20 minutes!

another easy way is to make a selection around the blocks and //replace the mycelium with grass :)

What I found usefull is using sand to make a mounting. Because the sand will fall down, making the mountain more smooth instead of using stone. Than you can select it and change it to dirt or something else you like :)

use sand for making your own terrain then replace it all to grass blocks when the grass blocks beneath top layer become dirt replace them to stone

Great tutorial! I have a question…For some reason my smoothing tool is creating squares instead of smoothing and I’m typing exactly what you put in the video. The thing is in one world I use the smooth brush and it works perfect but on any other it’s just creating squares and not smoothing anything. I was planning on making a little build for fun but I wanted to terraform and I wanted to use worldedit so that’s how I stumbled upon this video. Thank you so much!

I don't usually recommend using the worldedit smoothing because it never works that well. I highlighted it however for this video to feel more complete, but I'd recommend trying out the plugins voxelsniper or gobrush for basic terraforming. Those are plugins though and need a server to be able to run them.

How did you manage to increase the brush distance? Because when i do all this it doesn't work until i am really close to the ground like regular block placement. and that means i always get trapped inside the sphere :(

Hi Meg......Awesome video. Just wondering though....How come World Edit doesn't have the //br sweep command anymore? I'm trying to create a road for cars to travel on in Minecraft and I saw a video on how to make a sweeping road curve but the //br sweep command will not work. Very good Tutorial! You said /br smooth is the best/only "Wordledit" smoothing tool. Thats not right. Thers aswell a blendball from Worldedit/Fawe! Not only from Voxel Sniper! Jst wanna say xD Helpful anyways :D

No what I said is right. These are WorldEdit tutorials not FAWE. Those are 2 completely different plugins, especially when FAWE can only be used on servers. I would have included many more things if this was a FAWE tutorial, but it's just WorldEdit. EDIT: btw I'm only covering WE in case people are only using the plugin in singleplayer and not on a server. hopefully that makes sense. Additional FAWE commands might come later on as a separate video. But thanks for your thoughts! :)

It still works with the old number system?! I haven’t used SCP or worldedit since they changed it to minecraft:Orange_Wool etc. Is there a list of number IDs for the newly added blocks?

yes I believe you can use the numbers if they have them. but any blocks in 1.13 and above do not have a number ID.

I enjoy using the sphere brushes, it is perfect for my custom tracks, giving it a more realistic effect. Also, how do I paint with my brush on the world terrain, and not my man-made structures? I want to paint with a racetrack that will save enough time
