Marissa is the one that makes me really angry. What was even the reason she was eliminated, they never gave one, and Ryan even admitted he regretted eliminating her. That girl was amazing every week and I thought her parts in UP/IIB were great

Blake was chosen in large part as he was the best actor. I predicted it, but Aylin was so good in her final performance I was afraid she would win. Her or Ali. They said Nellie did not pop or stand out. She had a fantastic voice, however. She and Michael were performing together later.

S1 has more diversity and flavor. They also have more artistry in their blood. S2 has more natural talent and most of them are better classically trained singers. Each season's roster is so good that justifying one contestant's elimination with BS reason is enough when you know that most of them could handle the show's pressure and they're capable of having a role.

Funny story, I actually met Aylin at Disneyland shortly after Glee Project aired and she was so shocked someone stopped her to ask for a picture or to be recognized. I don't remember almost anything about either season and might go back and rewatch it sometime, but that's the closest I've come to meeting a celebrity.

For me the performance that has stuck with me after all these years is Aylin’s “Without You”, the fact that she came out with that the first week really solidifies her place as one of the best singers/performers on the show. Also SO glad you out respect on Girls Just Wanna Have Fun. :)

Loved Nellie, Loved her voice, she always sound great, although she wasn’t right for the show. Her lack of confidence with her was a big problem. “If I were a Boy” was a fantastic performance, good choice, although I would have ranked “waiting for a boy/girl like you” higher. The chemistry between Blake and Nellie in that is 🔥

i think damian was sweet and talented enough that he deserved it. he seemed like he'd be the easiest to work with in a professional tv set, so that probably factored into him winning. personally i didn't really like sam all that much, but i do like joe... i do agree some of the other contestants deserved it more but it doesn't negate the fact the winners worked hard to get their top spots.

Crowing dredds was a big mistake. Jenner was very good, but they wasted him on Glee. You can also tell Ryan really liked Cameron, he would have done great with the Glee cast.

The finales of TGP never gave me the winner I wanted. I was hard rooting for Lindsay in season 1 and the way Aylin somehow wasn't even a consideration in season 2 was so frustrating.

Nellie and Cameron Mitchell were the two I wanted to win each season. Cameron was a star. And while I respect that he was steadfast in his beliefs, I think if he stayed, the competition was his. And Nellie. Nellie was another pure star. She had some confidence issues, but she always got through them. And her voice, oh my lord her voice. Her performance of If I Were a Boy lives in my head rent free

#25 - That was the ROBBED contestant of the ENTIRE show. Got to top 6 w/o ever being in the bottom 3 & eliminated the 1st time. But Ryan was in Love w/ both Blake & Aylin (the rest of the Bottom 3). - She wore the Lady Gaga Meat Dress (w/ real meat) under hot lights for 12+ hrs or the week where they gave them choreography on set and were expected to learn it there. She pretty much killed it all season & one mistake and she was eliminated.

every time charlie perfomed you just couldnt help but love him, it was easy for people to get mad at him but i could always see his mind moving a million miles per hour and it ws clear the reason he was so hard was his adhd taking over. the only thing i thought was bad was him taking marios stick but you could see how remorceful he was.

@@denaspohn5207Charlie’s rendition of Its not unusual is a top tier performance, and I believe the only reason Ryan booted him off is because Charlie gives the same energy as Corey. Ryan didn’t ever want to replace his stars. In season 1, Lindsay was clearly the strongest contestant by the end, yet she didn’t get cast in a major role because her talent would’ve rivaled Lea Michele, and Ryan’s shown time and time again that Lea is his golden girl and he will do nothing to change that. I think it’s the same for Corey. Ryan loved Corey a ton, and as such, didn’t want to cast any other male that could potentially outshine him. I mean, all the winners were male, but were never in consideration for fulfilling a Finn type role. Charlie, due to his looks, his acting, his personality, etc, was too much like Corey and I don’t think Ryan liked that very much

Just in time cause i have rewatched both seasons literally yesterday. Heres my nonsensical thoughts: Bryce- was given the wrong song choice, too high for his key, has bluegrass overtones in his tone, sabotaged Elise- Smooth jazzy tone, unique timbre, cant dance for shit, awkward video presence Emily- powerful voice, great range, pitch and momentum issues, eliminated because someone needs to go home (a recurring theme with others) Mckynkeigh- has the best performance the night she was sent home (cmon even ryan said so), very pro, cant act Matheus- ROCKSTAR, does the same falsetto raise every.dang.time. Ego issues Marissa- prolly the strongest pop vocals in s1 Cameron- 1 in 1 million, unique in every way, the only instrumentalist alongside charlie and samuel Hannah- lackluster pipes, good tone, good in taking instructions, can rap, dance, and act. Alex- Mother of RANGES, good vocalist and performer, has a good story to tell lindsay- strong belter, classically trained vocals, has experience acting in theatre, Damian- good performer, charmed his way to winning, sweet sweet low notes, best performance in top 4 during last ep samuel- best dancer, mediocre singer, savvy musician, charisma lvl 999999

most of s2 contestants cant dance for shit they had to remove most choreography in the videos. Maxfield- only country singer besides mckynleigh, unique style in singing, awkward in video shoot and inexperience sent him home taryn- MIA lol Dani- such vivid artistry and cool tone, has the perfect folk voice, cant dance, and has trouble projecting, DEFINITELY NOT FOR THE GLEE PROJECT why even cast her in the first place? Tyler- great potential for new material for glee, mediocre vocals, total npc vibes Mario- has bluesy overtones, great vocalist, adaptable, ego issues and cant act Charlie- a musical genius, instrumentalist, producers hate his guts and oftentimes being misunderstood (waste) Nelie- another diamond in the rough, unique vocals, one in a million like cameron, exploited to confidence bs which is obviously not the case at all Abraham- best performer and dancer, good style, is prolly the best male vocals in s2 cmon this video didn't do his performances any justice, can be a sourpuss Shanna- strong belter, aced every freaking test but was sent after being bottomed for the first time because of biased reasoning Michael- lackluster vocals, good acting, best at taking directions, a true professional lily- good pipes, classically trained, cant dance for shit, still shown that shes 3x more capable than the winner ngl Aylin- best pop voice s2, has good story (wasted lvl 999) Ali- ROCKSTAR. Super pro ethics, best pipes, you cant hate this girl Blake- medicore vocals, good dancing, prolly the best at acting in s2, EYE CANDY we all know what ryan wants

Not how I would have ranked these. Lily and Charlie were terrific. "It's Not Unusual" was Charlie's best performance. he could perform in night clubs very easily. Lily got so good I began to believe she might beat Blake who I chose as the likely winner as he was so obviously the best actor. Why were the 2nd Season finalist performances ranked as low as they were? Blake won that year, Ali has won a Tony, I believe, and Aylin was incredible. I never really understood the issue with Nellie except they said she did not pop or stand out from the others. Terrific singer, tho. I didn't watch the first season and could not find it online to watch, but watched Alex on You Tube after he started to play Unique on Glee. Incredible!!!!

Definitely agree with number one. Loved loved that performance by Nellie, loved her in general, but she wasn't right for the show. I would argue that Aylin's Rolling in the Deep was better than her Without You, but she had a super cool tone. Nice list! Although why no love for Samuel? I thought all of his last chance performances were super edgy and cool, I was a big fan of his rockstar vibe, and really happy he won season one.

GP 2- I think Blake was almost certainly going to win from the beginning. He was my first choice, but it was too scary to see the final performances of Aylin and Ali. Charlie was my favorite, however. GP 1-As it turned out, Alex should have won. From the minute Alex did Boogie Shoes on Glee Alex was a superstar. Tony winner this year.

Nellie was amazing but i think her struggle was the acting a embodiment of the character. She wasnt confident in herself and skills. People who are confident usually are great actors. However when she sang you can tell her confidence to just be her and let go.

I agree from an acting perspective, Blake was the best and he was vocally talented to make at least the top 5 in his season. However, the show was about finding unique people who inspired Ryan to write a new character. Blake wasn’t really that. Any of 4 straight white men from season 2 could have player Ryder, whereas I feel as though Ali and Aylin were much more unique and encapsulated glee the most.

I believe Nellie was the perfect embodiment of what glee stands for (they treated her terribly though), and I would have loved to see what they could do with someone like her. I still think it makes sense to choose someone with the acting talent of Blake, and I think some of season fours best moments would have been impossible with any other of the candidates (the moment with Unique springs to mind), but I would have loved to see what they could do with someone like Nellie.

THANK YOU. Blake was the true star, and that’s why he won. And yes, his acting and versatility played a huge part in that. Cory Monteith was a terrible dancer, average singer, but very charming, and a fantastic actor, very versatile and adaptable. That’s why he got cast as Finn originally, and that’s why Blake won TGPS2. Not to mention Blake was the most consistent week after week, and when you are on a tv show of the magnitude of “Glee”, you need someone who can bring that consistency every day on Set. No time for giving people numerous takes over and over again in that professional environment.
