Apex Detail if I use a quick detailer it’s CarPro elixir or or mannets show stopper on a coated car, non coated car it’s eagle one wipe n shine. I use them for fingerprints or light dust.

I have four coats of Turtle Wax Seal and shine. Followed by two coats of Turtle Wax hybrid Ceramic spray coating. Also use P&S bead maker as a drying Aid on a weekly basis.

I use Griot's best of show detailer on top of Meguairs Hybrid Ceramic wax and everything is still holding up pretty strong since April 2019.

Hey, what happened to the 👍 after each passed wash round?? That was my favorite part! 😔😁 I actually rarely use detail sprays anymore. I use ONR/Wipeout for those jobs, keeps it simple and economical. I do use spray sealants and waterless washes frequently. Thanks, Brian! 👍👌✌

Hi Brian,nice vid,thank you for all the effort,i'm living in very hot country ,and what i've noticed that even the best products tending to weaken much faster on my car that generally parked under open sky all the time. I think it would be interesting if it could be possible to test panel after several days under UV lamp.

Does it work well as a drying aid? Does it flash well and is it sunlight friendly ? I plan on using the liquid wax you showed as my base coat on my properly prepped car and then the spray detailer as a drying aid after every wash. Just wondering what u thought of that system. 9 washes before the protection dissapearing is actually not bad for a detailer spray but the real question is whether it can last 9 weeks if say on average a person washes their car once a week. I honestly think Si02 should not be in a detail spray since detail sprays are normally used for light dust cleaning inbetween washes or when decontamination is needed but Si02 definitely makes sense on at least sealants at minimum if someone wants 6-12 months durability though again just my opinion.

I actually found that lil rubber disc to be decent for windows. Doesn’t leave any smudges like clay sometimes does. Otherwise it’s really not very good at all.

I like the 10 washes method. But I think, it would be more realistic, when you wash about 7 times, but dry the surface every time. I think, some products get attacked by the drying towel nearly as much as by the wash solution.

Brian, what if I accidently applied the Meguiars detailer first (thinking it was the Meguiars hybrid ceramic wax)? Can I just apply the wax over the top of the detailer or do I need to remove all of the detailer first? Thanks in advance for your input!

Does this function as a "waterless wash"? Obviously not for the whole car, but for things like bird poop, pollen, water spots, dirt streaks, and dirty windows. I've been using it for those things and it's been working, but is it intended for that?

I’ve watched many videos hours of it !! And trust me meguiars came out as the top detailer sprays for si02 and durability !!!! If there is a spray that competes with this it’s “britemax remax !!! Even car pro reload failed the tests

I've started using the turtle wax hybrid ceramic wax. What is the purpose of the detailer exactly? After I wash my car couldn't I just use the hybrid wax to give it a quick top up instead of using the detailer? Thanks in advance

Great content as always. Question. What kind of clear coat does Tesla have. Any recommendations on one step polishing pads and product? I have a Black Tesla model 3 and would like to make the black pop as well as good protection. I was looking at the McKee SIO2 Ceramic one step with the buff and Shine Uro-Fiber pad, and will probably top it off with a ceramic coating. Would this be a good combo?

In my personal experience not good to mix a compound with foundations of sio2 and than apply a ceramic coat. You want to buff clean. No fillers or anything that lays down protection. That's what the final step is for( the coating). As for soft paint your one step and choice of pad is fine. But remember you will still have to go behind with a soft pad and an ultra fine polish

I would consider suggest Extreme Solutions 403 (Acrylic) and a finish pad .....skip the Ceramic. This would require less correcting (filling in some defects) and in turn keep as much of the clear coat as possible. You end up with on hell of a finish that pops and you get the longevity your looking for.....you would not be disappointed !!

Brian nice job. I would say from experience that the drying process, even with a microfiber can also reduce the longevity of any protectant. So while the 10 washes was a good test, drying after each wash would have likely reduced the number of washes the product could endure.

A.D.D. Garage I saw a video with someone testing the longevity of some sealants and waxes and ironically collinite 845 in this video became noticeably less durable after a few wipe downs. It makes sense - drying is a form or agitation albeit light.

Hummm, use it at least once a month as a drying aid and your paint has protection till next time. Beadmaker might be a bit higher gloss but cannot match the wash test of this product I assume.

Frank Martinez The new Ceramic Spray coating from Turtle Wax is a quick coating that has up to 12 months when 2 coats applied and can be applied in direct sunlight.

Fusso Coat will give you 12 months of guaranteed protection if you prep the paint well if the paint is not already in good shape (iron remover, clay and polish). Any of these will require some sort of maintenance like regular washes and the ocasional use of a topper/sacrificial layer though to keep the sealant fresh and fully functional. Sonax BSD is a great inexpensive product for this purpose. 1 coat of BSD on bare polished paint lasts 4 months plus and it's also a very valid option.

I guess its not a good claypad? LOL , however the detailing spray is a decent product i would say, and in combination with other Meguier's products it should do just fine. Regarding the donuts, we dont have donuts here really, well they sell them in the supermarket but i wouldnt call those donuts and for sure my dog wouldnt even like them (Not that he would get that kind of food, just good quality dogfood) So the dinkin donuts where a heavenly taste :) , next time im in the USA i will try the Krispy Kreme and Duck Donuts :)

I think that this product is misunderstood. It’s a detailer. As a detail spray, 10 washes of strong soap could be 30 washes of a regular soap. That would probably display the effects of maybe a month or two. Not bad if it’s easy to use

Henry Freeman Hank’s Detailing its for after car wash, or spot cleaning finger print smudge/ bird drops/ light dust. Etc. Tend to see it used during car shows to keep it shine. Correct me if I’m wrong.

Lost it’s strong hydrophobic properties relatively quickly. Protection still remained. Liquid wax held strong hydrophobic through all 10 washes, but the mix killed it quick. Strange.
