Frankly, my actual experience with Canadians in real life led me to expect more solidarity, but I suppose online when we're all shouting into the ether, people like to generalize their rage at groups. It's so much easier than dealing with the nuances of reality. Never once in my life did it ever occur to me that what a head of state did reflected the will of an entire population.
