It's long been my belief that despite trying to squeeze the territory of the Palestinians into smaller and smaller parcels of land, they'll probably up with a single state where both groups have to live together by default. The demographics are such that the numbers of both populations have risen together over the years, and all that's really happened - notwithstanding the walls, fences and settlements - is that people have died, been born and moved around. Yet both groups still live together in considerable numbers in Israel/Palestine, and that's unlikely to change in any meaningful way.
