Wah.! Kya gazab ki ghazal sunayi hai aapne aaj, Suman ji, dil khush ho gaya sunkar....Hairat mein padh gaye hain ki, iss khoobsurat shaayari aur gaayiki ke liye kya kahen, lafz hi nahin mil rahe bayaan karne ke liye. Dil ko chuu liya, Mehdi Hassan sahab ki makhmali awaaz mein, ye ghazal ke itne haseen sher sunkar.. Hasrat Mohani sahab ne, Husn ki kitni sunder tasveer darshayi hai apni shaayari mein......Raushan jamaal-e-yaar se hai Anjuman tamaam, Dahka hua hai aatish-e-gul se chaman tamaam....Allah--rii jism-e-yaar ki khubi ki khud ba khud , Rangiiniyon mein doob gaya Pairahan tamaam...Sabse priye sher toh hamein ye lage...Dekho toh chashm-e-yaar ki jaadu--nighahiyaan, Behosh ik nazar mein huii anjuman tamaam...Mann prasann ho gaya sunkar ye laajavaab ghazal...Iske liye aapka tah e dil se shukriya...Khush rahein, sehatmand aur surakshit rahen.!

What's so special with the great Mehdi Hassan Saab was the fact that he had an uncanny ability to catch the fascination of the listeners, while performing, by casting a spell around them, and carry them, along with the rhythm, owing to his magical voice and inimitable style of gayiki ! The great Mehdi Hassan Saab had cast such a spell on me that it will be difficult to come out of that spell during this lifetime ! A singer of the caliber and brilliance of the great Mehdi Hassan Saab is born only once in a millennium !
