Meherrin and Chowan Rivers-Murfreesboro to Winton NC

This trip started at the Murfreesboro boat ramp on the Meherrin River and ended at Shoup's Landing in Winton NC on the Chowan River. The run is almost 15 miles and took us around 6 hours to complete. We had a 10-12mph head wind (NE) most of the day until we hit the Chowan and started heading South. Bald Eagles. herons, turtles, cypress trees and everything else you would expect in Northeastern North Carolina. Any boat will do, and it can be run at any level just be conscious of wind conditions or be ready to paddle all day! Enjoy!
