This is the first season where I've listened to every song from Coke Studio, and believe it or not, I always watched your reaction first before going back and listening to the songs again. Today, I finished the last song of Coke Studio 15. Usually, songs end in 5 minutes, but I end up watching over an hour of your reaction reviews. There's something special about your reaction videos and reviews that truly connect with my soul. After watching your reviews, I feel compelled to listen to the songs again with a broader perspective. When you show your emotions and even cry during a song, it resonates deeply with me as well. Your reactions elevate the songs to another level. Maybe it's just me, but I love it. I used to watch other KZbinrs' reactions too, but yours are the ones I eagerly wait for every time. Nizam's Voice is 100% natural, no effect was added to it.. he's blessed with this voice , the Language is Kohistani (Koh = Mountain, so roughly translated it means " Mountain Language" ), which is sadly in danger of extinction

There is no translation for the Torwali lines, in English or Urdu. They’re written in Torwali in the subtitles. This has to be deliberate on the part of CS. Torwali is an endangered language. Also, at the start, Nizam’s voice isn’t processed, as you’ll find out in the bts. 🎉 Great reactions this season…..will miss this😔

I asked one of my friend who speaks Torwali aka Kohistani Language. He sent me this translation. Just a little background that Aaseem, in the folk tradition, happens to be a girl. The poet in the first line says "O Aaseem, hold the mother's hand and tell her about the story (aka love-affair)". In the second line poet says that "of a boy (named) Rehmat (who is of the town of) Kaithil." To put in it other words the poet is encouraging the girl to have no fear and come out of boundaries of suppression and to express her love freely for the boy.

Yes, it was Xulfi harmonizing with Noorima. So beautiful. After the BTS of Piya Piya Calling, where Xulfi sang Kaifi's part, I guess it woke up his singing instinct. Zeb, as everyone knows, is an established singer. But Noorima, who's just a young kid, sang so beautifully and with such confidence, it's quite unbelievable. Always love your reactions.

I never engage on KZbin comment sections but Miss Jyoti! You cried exactly when I cried when I heard this song. I couldn’t believe it. It was such a transcendental moment for me to see k feeling these feelings was my experience and days later, it instigated the same emotions in another human. Shocked still. In disbelief! Your emotions were legit like mirror to me when I heard it and guess what, I cried again! Miss Jyoti ki friend, dude the way you dissected the song on philosophical end…. Language is Kohistani or Torwali (very limited) spoken by a very small community. In the lyrics the singers refers to a girl named Aaseem who lives in a area called Tel. I watched a video of a Torwali guy translating the beginning part and he said that Nizam is saying that there is a girl/child named Asma or Asima who tells her mom to take her to this village called Khel to meet someone named Rehmet that she loves. It’s a folk song sung in weddings etc. but I think this is a very literal translation.

When I first listened to this song I was like “jyoti to roye gi 100%” 😅 Its been such an amazing journey just like CS14. The next thing I always anticipate after another drop is your reactions. I also believe that voice was Xulfi! Its amazing how we connect through this one medium one absolute masterpiece of art that is Coke Studio. We feel the same emotions listening to it. CS15 should be studied and taught as case study that how a pure work of art can bring people together crossing borders, languages, religions, cultures and whatnot. I think the reason the Kohistani isn't translated is that they're lyrics from a wedding song. The CS team used that as a take-off point for the rest of the melody and composition. The lyrics most likely don't fit into the rest of the song. Edit: oooooh, you found the translation! Well done, Jyoti!
