Who was sultan Mehmed Fatih?
Sultan Mehmed II, commonly known as Mehmed the Conqueror (Mehmed Fatih in Turkish), was a prominent Ottoman ruler who reigned from 1444 to 1446 and then again from 1451 to 1481. He is best known for his military prowess and for capturing Constantinople, the capital of the Byzantine Empire, in 1453.
