Mehta Family Centre for Engineering in Medicine

The Mehta Family Centre for Engineering in Medicine is an interdisciplinary research center that aims to facilitate cutting edge research and breakthrough technologies in the area of Biomedical Research. The focus of MFCEM is to offer engineering solutions to medical problems and would naturally allow for the participation by faculty from other science and engineering departments at IITK. It aims to foster growth in terms of personnel-faculty, post-doctoral fellows, students and project employees-and academic programs-integrated Ph.D., MS by research and Minors for the undergrad students. The MFCEM will initially focus on three main areas of Regenerative Medicine, Molecular Medicine and Engineering, Digital Medicine.
