Mei Mei Hu is the co-founder and CEO of COVAXX, a division of United Biomedical. In this session from WIRED Health 2021, Hu explores the side effects of a Covid-19 vaccine and what it could mean to make healthcare more accessible for all.
“Even before COVID we had this clear mission to democratize health. We believe all human lives deserve access to life-changing medicines. Even though 'health' rhymes with 'wealth', you know, we would hope that the two are not synonymous.”
Hu was formerly a consultant at McKinsey where she advised pharmaceutical companies on strategic, operational and organisational issues. In 2019, she was honored by TIME in their "100 Next List," and by Fortune magazine as one of their "40 Under 40" innovators.
