Here In Brazil, summer ends in March. This period is known for its frequent rains, which are a typical phenomenon at this time of year. These rains, which are often intense, are called "March waters". I think that at the same time as the song conveys a sense of life in English, I believe that in Portuguese it addresses the passage of time with small things that sometimes we don't notice, let's live!
