@@KurtCusanovich A judge merely presides over cases brought to them - and while I agree that Cannon is more than compromised and needs to be removed from the Documents case - she doesn't decide what the charges are that are brought before her. It's the Attorney General and Grand Jury who brings the indictment decide that. I honestly don't know why treason wasn't included but i also admit it would be a difficult charge to prove in this case. Others have accidentally taken documents that they should not have (the process of packing up any high ranking office holder's offices REALLY needs to be changed!!!) - the reason he's been charged and they haven't is that they immediately returned the documents and he refused, delayed, hid and lied about them. I think that if the FBI or other alphabet agency could prove he sold any of the classified information after leaving office a charge of treason would be near automatic. --jmho

He has already clearly demonstrated an utter disregard for both public safety (think COVID response) and national security (colluding with Russia, cozying up to Kim, etc.). My position is that his concern with being re-elected acted as a brake on some of his worst impulses and that mechanism would no longer be in play during a second term. He would either know he simply has four years to do all he can, or he would have four years to secure an indefinite reign. Either way, public perception would have zero deterrent effect.

Because that could negatively impact how the law works for countless other people as well. Some folks have learned to manipulate the law; predatory lawyers have built entire careers out of doing just that for decades. But it's hard to make a rule regarding number of lawsuits that wouldn't potentially impact everyone else. And no matter what changes, predatory lawyers will still exist and still find loopholes and ways to manipulate the system.
