The FOV is matching the 50mm on Full Frame, because the crop factor in reality is closer to 1,52x. This is why Fujifilm, Viltrox, Meike and other brands started to releasing 33mm lenses in recent years rather than 35mm.

I have the 55mm meike and it is a killer lens for the price, so much so that I don't really fill the need to go for 56mm 1.2 for my use and I appreciate the weight savings. But one thing I noticed for both 55 and for 33 in your review, is that the rubber gasket is pretty silly because it does not come in contact with the body which kills the purpose of it.

I think the marketing is a lot less aggressive with this brand, which in the case of this lens is a bit of a shame. It deserves more attention (not wild marketing but ye more than two reviews online !)

Excellent video and a very interesting lens. I would have been quite interested in trying this but I do already have the Fuji 33mm f1.4 so there would be no point. 👍

Thanks for the review. There is a Yongnuo AF 33mm f/1.4 for x mount but cant find it on sale in the UK unfortunately, its also had good reviews.

Have both a mint Gen 1, 33 1.4 and 33 f2. Not sure why I would go for this lens, obviously different for those without glass this focal length.
