This is a fantastic lens for the price. Just got one myself, and I am loving it.

I think it was a great choice. This is hands down the best lens Meike has produced so far. I love it, and I am so glad they stepped up their game.

This or Sony Zeiss 55mm?
@ParadiseBizz6 күн бұрын
I actually owned the Zeiss 55mm and I loved the photo quality of this lens. Meike also does an amazing job and outshines the Zeiss when it comes to creating videos. If you're not interested in filming and you want the best photo quality then it would be the Zeiss amzn.to/3PWJtMU BUT I find it too expensive for what it is. I would recommend to buy the Meike amzn.to/3EaLBha instead and save the money for the new upcoming Meike 35mm PRO lens - yes, it will be coming soon.

Fits on an aps-c like ZVe10? Great vids.

Yes, it does fit on APS-C cameras and performs excellent

Nice video review.. Thank you... May I ask, when you make this video review, what lens you've used? its great i think

Thank you for your kind words. I filmed this review on my micro four thirds camera, the Panasonic Lumix G9 II and as a lens I used the Sigma 30 mm F1.4

how's the Autofocus on 55mm vs the Meike 50mm 1.8?
@ParadiseBizz29 күн бұрын
The AF works great on both lenses. On the 55mm Pro it is a bit quieter and it is superior in video mode

Oh, just FYI, I am working on a 50mm Full Frame AF lens comparison: 7Artisens vs Meike vs Yongnuo

What do you think compared to sigma 56mm 1.4?
@ParadiseBizz16 күн бұрын
The Sigma has strong chromatic abberations, which I personally don’t like. They’re easy to remove on photos but difficult in videos. I personally prefer the Meike 55 mm over the sigma 56. On top the sigma is an APS-C Lens the Meike 55 mm is a full frame lens that you can use for everything.

I'm waiting for their 35mm F1.8 PRO. I already have their 85mm F1.4 MIX series.

You are so right, I would LOVE to get a 35mm f1.8 Pro from Meike. I'll reach out to them and ask, when we can expect it.

Adding Pro to it was a bit of a stretch with that lens noise. Still is great to see all these options. Ow in the budget side. Got to push these camera companies for the more expensive gear.

Happy New Year, Paul. yes, the motor should be silent to call it Pro. Still, no focus breathing and a really nice image quality. For the price, I take it

Do pros use the Camera's internal mic?
@PaulFeinberg27 күн бұрын
@@H2o3G2a no but it still gets picked up through the shotgun attached to the hotshoe.
@H2o3G2a27 күн бұрын
@@PaulFeinberg Then something must be wrong with your mic. Any budget directional mic will have absolutely no issues, let alone a pro one. There are much louder things on set or outside.
@ParadiseBizz27 күн бұрын
@@H2o3G2a You would always use an external mic, whether it is a Boom mic, or a wireless mic. What you could do is to mix the recording of the in camera mic with your external mic's recording, to add some ambient noise.
