@@SL-sc5vu Rooibis is made from a different plant to usual tea, which is made from Camelia Sinensis: I believe this video is strictly talking about teas from the Camelia Sinensis plant. I think they may have a video on Rooibos, but I'm not sure! Happy drinking!

In many Asian grocery stores, they sell a square gold colored tin of jasmine green tea. it is consistently wonderful and scents the room. The price is fair, too. I used to work in a tea room, but that jasmine green tea brand is still one of my favorites.

Thanks for sharing this video - it was very informative. I have never drank alcohol and have found myself jealous of friends who talk about the complex flavours of wines and whisky (my national drink). So I have found the world of fine Chinese tea has opened up a new experience to me. I look forward to trying some from your company.

+chinalife Tea House hi thanks for the reply! I wondered if you could recommend a tea for me? I am a bit of a Neanderthal, I love cola lol Som im looking for a flavoursome tea
@MeiLeaf9 жыл бұрын
Ian Buchanan we would very much recommend you to stay away from anything artificially scented - they may have a strong smell but they are not good quality tea and lack real flavour. For teas that have more of an 'instant appeal' we would recommend you going for Oolongs. Something like Eastern Beauty (chinalifeweb.com/shop/product/tea-eboc/86/) or Royal Peach Orchid (chinalifeweb.com/shop/product/royal_peach_orchid/86/) are more on the fruity side of things. Superior Iron Goddess (chinalifeweb.com/shop/product/tea-sgoc/86/) and Alishan Cream (chinalifeweb.com/shop/product/tea-acoc/86/) are creamier and more flowery. We have high quality and all natural blends for more of an instantly aromatic brew and these use the same premium tea as we sell loose so you know it is the best tea (chinalifeweb.com/shop/category/signature-blends/).

Thank you for the amazing video. I didn't think I was going to watch such a long video, but when I discovered how calmly and clearly you explained it, I had to watch it all. It was super informative. I knew that teas were basically from the same plant but that the processing was different, but thanks to you I now have a way better understanding of how these processes are different. I had never heard of Yellow tea before. I didn't know how Jasmine tea was made. I bought Jamine tea with flowers in it before and it just didn't taste good. I love the jasmine dragon pearls, just the smell you get from them when you open the bag or box is already so heavenly. But they're definitely not cheap, when I buy them I only drink them occasionally as a treat to myself. Now that I know how labor intensive it is, I'm more okay with spending a bit more money on some good Jasmine tea. After seeing your explanation, I finally get why I never liked Pu'er tea before, I'm not a super fan of earthy tastes. That being said, I don't think I've ever had a higher-grade Pu'er tea, i think I mainly had the supermarket bought teabag Pu'er tea. So if I ever come across a better quality Pu'er tea, I'll give it another try.
