Just cause they effortlessly weave chops in their drumming doesn’t make them the same imo, it’s about expression but to each their own I guess. I’ll agree that there’s a lot of similarity in the community today with the prog/gospel chop thing, but I find it refreshing. And similarities in a genre aren’t the same as similarities in the drumming world at large; billy Martin doesn’t play this way, no need to. Same can be said for matt chamberlain, jay lane, stanton moore, ash soan, Todd roper, matt abts, Fred eltringham, George sluppick, Jj Johnson, Alan evans, shawn pelton, ect. Be happy it’s starting to sound similar to you, may signal your creative side getting the itch to deep dive into some new music/drummers/styles!!

He is yet another artist from a big company's roster, the tracks sound the same most of the guys, especially gals, look the same and that is it. Period. Nothing new.
