5:53, you've gotta commend Luke for being able to play that double bit as cleanly as he did. I was wondering how that was going to go down, but I never should have doubted.

Luke, I use to drum on the regular when I was a teenager. I haven't touched a kit in over 15 years. I joined the military shortly after I turned 18, so I naturally didn't have the time. I have been out now for about three years and have been fighting some injuries. I have recently come across your incredible talent. You have given me the passion to want to pick up the sticks again. Thank you for sharing your talent with the world. It may sound weird, but I find your abilities very calming and therapeutic. Others can relate, I'm sure. Anyways, thanks again. Take care.

From what I've read about Buddy ,he would turn his nose up at first listen. And then make some snide remark like this. If it ain't jazz or something I can dance to then it ain't music. I think John would be like "where's the funk brotha " in a British accent. But he would appreciate the musicianship. I think Gene would say this is what drumming has progressed into. Impressive!!!

People need to stop thinking fast double bass drumming is the hardest part of this song and basically basing their entire musical opinion on whether or not a drummer can play it. There are so many more techniques out there for metal drummers to perfect and the reason a lot of people don't see the value in metal music is because a lot of people (drummers included) need to expand their horizons. First off, Richardson in this song is an absolute animal. The mere composition of a piece like this takes more skill than fast double bass on it's own, let alone playing something like it. Luke does a great job of supporting it, great variation, and played very well. The drums are just unfortunately mixed like every other metal core kit in the world, that is the only unfortunate part of the song. Extremely well played by both and both are incredible musicians
