This double drummer thing started before Kim Burrell. Take a look at Ron Kenoly "The Battle Is The Lord" on the God Is Able DVD in 1994. Chester Thompson was the lead drummer of the whole band but on that song, they had also Carl Albretch and Alex Acuña playing drums. Needless to say, they ALL soloed as well
