Nameless Ghoul and Ghost B.C. live at the Bijou Theatre in Knoxville, TN
October 14, 2013
Song title - "Con Clavi Con Dio"
Check out Nameless Ghoul's Meinl Cymbals set up here -
meinlcymbals.co...
...or wait until the end of the video and read about his set up there.
Regarding the sound you hear with this video - provided you are listening to the video through decent ear-buds or head phones or decent speakers connected to your computer, you should be able to hear a reasonable audio recording based off of the Zoom Q3HD which was one of three cameras used to record this. The other two cameras are the Go Pro Hero 3 Silver edition model. Their audio is nowhere near as good as the Zoom Q3HD, so that is why I went with it for the sound.
As for the sound, all members of Ghost B.C. use in-ear monitors, so there are no wedges on the stage for the Zoom to have picked up some guitar, bass, vocals, keys from. Also, there are no amps/cabinets on stage either, so again, no band mix for the Zoom to have picked up. In situations such as these, where set up and tear down is not something where I am afforded the luxury of time, I have to move quickly. That is why I have so far chosen to go with the Zoom Q3HD for the audio. I am always on the lookout for making improvements, but for now, this is as good as it gets for having a VERY mobile unit to capture video and audio. I have mentioned before that I am always open to any suggestions for how to make the sound better. But for what this is and for how quickly I have to get set up and tear down, this is not that bad. Thanks for reading. - Chris Brewer

This drummer and Martin WERE the sound of Ghost. Tobias had the vision but these Ghouls new how to translate that into sound… It shows now.
@Memu_
@Memu_ Жыл бұрын
Aksel only played on Infestissumam and though Martin recorded the rhythm tracks on Meliora he didn't influence the writing much. Martin said so himself. He just contributed here and there. Year Zero and Zenith were mainly written by him though.

@@Memu_ "Well, I wouldn't go so far as to call my contributions huge, because Tobias is a pop genius; he's a songwriting genius. And I think he would have done just fine without me as well. But of course, I did have some contributions but it's not like… I don't wanna compare myself to him in terms of what made Ghost, Ghost. But, of course, I did have some influence." That is what he said. Of course he said that, because he was comparing with Tobias. He helped to design visual things such as the masks and stage attire for the second and third album, bringing in the RDs and Co designing the Fantomen. Also the only other person than TF to be a regular spokesperson for the band with the press. Overall his impact on the second and third record and their promotion was significant just objectively from the songwriting credits, court information and public appearances. In the court documents for example it's mentioned he: "Designed stage attire, masks and symbols used on album covers, t-shirts etc" "Participated in interviews and marketing activities" "Participated in decisions about what concerts to play, the band's image and similar creative decisions" And TF never disputed that. Also think it is noteworthy that MP doesn't feel the need to brag about it...

Not this particular drummers you're mentioning, but I've seen other open handed drummers before. But what caught my eye with the Nameless Goul is that, for example, he hits the ride with his right hand and then the hi-hat with his left hand. Maybe that's common with this technique and I've never realised before, that's quite possible ha!
