The thing is as a religious woman it can be difficult. If you're a teen living in a religious household and dating isn't allowed then you have to keep them a secret. Say,you're an adult and you introduce them to your parents when you know they won't approve it's a problem. This is not even talking about a marriage though. Everyone has the right to chose their own religion or not but if your religious parents are introduced to someone that they don't like that can get in the way of that relationship. So in some cases it's better they don't know at all bc you know that you love that person and you don't want anything to come in between you.
