Holetown Festival 2015 in Barbados

The snare drum, bass drum and flute playing is very Igbo West African in sound and style. Reminds me of the old school flute and drumming of South Carolina African-americans . Charleston South Carolina was built in large part by British Barbados slave owners and the enslaved Africans they brought from Barbados; which happens to be part of my lineage.

This was a great highlight of the day's activities. The Tuk band will always be my favorite no matter where they go. Hmm, I think I'll go to next year's Holetown Festival.

This was really nice. I enjoyed watching it. I hope to experience the Holetown Festival. Do they have a festival in August? I hope so. I will be there in August 2017.
