Promotion is on a unit-by-unit basis (which is why Macha can promote to Hero while Mareeta promotes to Swordmaster), so generics could only promote if they had an entry in a table, which they do not. Also I think that 45:48 was supposed to be the attack ranges of player units

If Mekkah does get to ch8x, I doubt he stands a chance against Gomes. A boss with 46 hp, 18 atk, 14 spd, and 12 def with a 5% chance to act again is scary to think about since he will move off the throne. And if he can't move, then that's 22 def instead. Considering the boss himself was even part of the top 10 worst bosses in the series.
