Poland is peaceful now, because it's winter time... I'm not sure how to explain it, but it's like the country and the people go into hibernation this time of the year 😂 the cities are much more lively in the warmer months, there's also a lot of tourists then (the city centres are super crowded then) so enjoy the peace and quiet while you can. Love the hat!

Poland is really clean compared to Europe, that's true. From my own experience, I'd say it's something that's actually being taught here from a young age. I remember that in school we talked a lot about respecting public spaces, and my parents always reminded me of it etc. It's maybe just a small part of the reason, but I think Polish people, on average, are pretty conscious about these things-at least enough that city workers can then keep the rest under control. For example, I even have a habit of picking up loose cans or trash that I see on the ground when I'm walking by and throwing it into the nearby trash bin. As for the topic of people from all over the world-Poland actually has quite a lot of immigrants. Obviously, there are millions of Ukrainians and other Eastern Europeans, but we also have plenty of Indians and East Asians. For example, the Vietnamese population has been significant in Poland for many decades because they came here during the communist times. There are also still growing numbers of people from Africa. Honestly, I've never seen people being so respectful of Polish culture as those imigrants from Africa and Asia. It's a big difference between having people migrate for work, knowing they need to meet certain conditions to be welcomed into a country and that they need to adapt and follow local rules, compared to mass migration of people who aren't subject to any control and live off social benefits. Actually, with the huge Ukrainian migration now, and them having a lot of social support as refugees, it's sometimes them who behave poorly (I don't have anything against Ukrainians; I fully support them and know plenty of amazing people from there. It's just that it's the normal problem with mass uncontrolled migration that there will be a percentage of people who try to exploit the system.)
