Mel is basically irreplacable as Mad Max. And Mad Max 2 is still my favourite of the series. But i must say Tom Hardy did do it really well. Honestly, i don't think anyone else could have done a better job of it. It was different from Mel's version sure. But still good. I compare it to Nicholson's Joker and Ledger's version of the character. Different but still excellent! The jury is out on the upcoming Furiosa one though. Guess we'll see. Hopes are not high given Hollywood's recent portrayal's of women.

I always loved Mel Gibson as an actor, and director in all his films as well as his personality. In my opinion, everyone makes a mistake sometimes for what they say and what they do, but I surely believe he should not be ostracized for the rest of his life for what he had done. Unfortunately, both Hollywood and the public are not that forgiving in my mind. I definitely would like to see more and more of Mel in the future in the cinema as both actor and director--he is a true "think out of the box" no-nonsense visionary!😇♥
