Great - but it's ironic that on a blindfold test in the early 60's Torme said something like "I can't believe they could make a whole career out of Down for Double"! and here he is dong it with Jon Hendricks. Torme was great, but definitely opinionated.

I’ve never been much of a fan of scat singing, but in this case I definitely make an exception to that rule. And the other Mel on drums is just as classy and smooth as messengers Torme and Hendricks. I’m just surprised that I’m not familiar with the song, which sounds familiar.
