I'm a 58 yo Brit and, whilst I had heard of Mel Torme, I hadn't listened to him before now. Wow, he's phenomenal and makes Frank Sinatra look dull. The arrangements are so exciting, incredible and beautiful. The Americans are the only ones who can do it.

Lived in LA in the 80's and Hollywood Bowl had Wednesday night Jazz at the Bowl. $7.00 bleacher seats. Saw Mel with Ella Fitzgerald several times. Just mesmerizing when they "scat" together.. May they both RIP 🙏 ❤

Never seen this clip thanx for posting grew up with 2 of his albums being played by mum and dad i love his timing and delivery with the lyrics so sharp right and Fun what a legend im still suprised when people my vintage say theyve never heard of him but love his Christmas song
