Wow. They are beautiful. I particularly love the last pages you shared of animals and various items, also the botanical art. The layouts and colors you choose are so pretty! I also love how you seem to get constant inspiration from the landscape all around you. I love how there are so many different views, angles, colors, moods, and styles.

Hi Mel, I really enjoyed your beautiful sketchbook tour! It has so many memories of where we have been. I realized again that I need to learn not to overwork my sketches:) I really love the sketch you did from the orchids. Thank you for your valuable work! Gabi:)

Such lovely work, Melanie! I was looking to see if you had made a print to buy of the tinted charcoal drawing at the 46:24 mark. I didn’t see it on your website. I absolutely LOVE it and would love to buy a print if you plan on making one. It just grabbed me! I plan on buying the 2025/calendar. Maybe two, one for my daughter❤

Thanks so much. I hadn't intended to make that one in to a card, but it may appear in my next zine. Glad to hear your thoughts on it though as it was working in a new medium.

Hi Melanie, I really enjoyed this tour of your work, it was so inspiring! Can I please ask where you get your tins to store your neo colors in, I just don’t know what size to get and yours look perfect with all of the right colour tins for each colour group. Thankyou so much for sharing, take care ❤❤

Thankyou! I get asked that a lot- I bought them from the Online journal shop, I'm not sure if they still stock them. They are called tiny containers by hightide.

Beautiful work! Curious to know about your green paint water brush, did you make it? What medium is it? Thx!
@MelanieChadwick2 ай бұрын
Thankyou! Do you mean the waterbrush with acrylic ink? I do make custom ink brushes- just fill a waterbrush with a bit of liquid acrylic ink and water.

@ oh very interesting! I’d loveee to see a video on how you make those if you have time.

Hello Melanie, I wanted to ask you, does the Moleskine withstand multiple layers of colour when doing watercolour?
@MelanieChadwick24 күн бұрын
Moleskine does quite well with watercolour layers and ink- and its thicker than the royal talens art creation.
