That’s an awesome idea I already bought a Color Book and a Large Box of Crayons 🖍 & Story Kids Books 📚 for my 3 great-nephews & 3 great-nieces for Christmas 🎄 and also Slime, a container of Play-Doh and I keep buying stuff to add to it I also bought a plastic carrying little basket with handles for each kid . So I’m going to make this tote for the Color Book and Crayon 🖍 and then everything else I’ll put in the other basket. I know they will love it 😍 their ages are 11, 6, 5, 5, 4, 3. 3 boys and 3 girls and now 4 girls my newest great-niece is only 2 weeks old so she’s getting cute little girl clothes 🎀 . I’m done, just made another one for my g’daughter, so now both siblings have their own. So easy and so cute. Adorable. I did square off the corner to 3” so that it stands up by itself. I put pockets on both sides inside the lining as well, for added convenience, Kleenex extra pens, treats, etc. Thank you, you explained it to a T.

I made one but must not have kept the seams narrow enough because it wouldn't fit a traditional drawing pad or coloring book but I found a smaller sticker book that fit and the crayons look so cute on the front. Next time I will make it just a tad wider. It went together quickly and your instructions were great

When I was a little kiddo, I would have LOVED this, and I probably would have begged for my mom or aunty or nana to make me one. All my crayons, art projects and coloring books would be in MY OWN bag, where my brothers wouldn't be able to wreck my stuff! Where was this when they melted all my crayons on the radiator? Such a cute idea and your tutorial was so easy to follow !! I was thinking....not only are these great little kid gifts to make, but with the new interest in adult coloring books, it would be nice to make them with coloring pencils for adults. Probably already been thought of I am sure, but I love this idea for kids..great little party favor to give out.. add a few treats, a coloring book etc . I'm making one for a relative (age 7) that just got diagnosed with lymphoma. He'll need something with him while in the hospital to keep him busy and mind off everything going on. I think these would be great to make for the kids to carry to church Like a "Busy Bag" type thing...something to keep them occupied during services... they get on mom's phone and playing games and they get excited and loud lol

+Delores Garza If I were to put these in my etsy shop, I would charge between $30-$45 depending on the fabric I used. I filmed while I made these so I'm not exactly how long it would take me to make one... you generally want to include your expenses and time, not only time to make it but time to photograph and write the listing etc.

Should the lining piece be stitched 1/2” seam allowance on 3 sides and the outer bag stitched 1/4”? When I turn the bag inside out my lining is larger inside if I use your directions
