I like that you are talking about porn and porn for a female audience. Some men were really disrespectful and laughed about the idea of "porn for women" when I told them about it. Like it would be "not sexy" or "not hot" when a woman is not hurt, dehumanized or what not. And it seems like many men do not realize that women also do like really kinky stuff and all sorts of things. I hate that stereotype of women who "just want to cuddle". There is still this picture of either the innocent girl or the slut with daddy issues. Sex education is so important! Thank you, Melanie!
@brennank35385 жыл бұрын
I like degradation as i am into bdsm but i totally get it. Its a kink and the women consent to making that porn. There is c*ck and b*ll torture in porn too so it goes both ways. Maybe more to women pornstars but they are there to perform extremes. If you dont like that you are in the wrong category search "romantic" porn and youll get what you are looking for.

@@brennank3538 doesn't need to be BDSM. A lot of regular porn does stuff that is degrading to a lot of women. You get a lot more 'facials' for women than for men, and they can still label that as romantic. Most women find that degrading. A slap on the bum can also be seen that way and can be in he romantic category. Anyway the problem Jyoka seems to have is that when she's wanted to watch porn with her partners in the past, the partner at the time made fun of her preferences, whatever that may be. From what she writes she would like to be a dom *amongst other things* . It isn't a question of her not being able to find stuff she likes, she seems to know it. The problem is many men disrespected her and her choices.

May be sort of difficult because it depends on the partner and your communication style and how comfortable they are with talking. As someone on here mentioned it helps to talk favourite things and what was liked/disliked after for future reference. Plus,everyone likes to be praised on what they do if it was what they were going for, starting with something you like about them/the experiences could open up that sort of talk.

Just love yourself enough to say "I need you to .....because I would love to enjoy this encounter as much as you do and you can really help me with it". To get the courage ask yourself if you would get mad at him over time if nothing changes in bed. Do not hint as some men just dont get hints. Men are really straightforward and they respect you if you thell them exactly what you want and how they can help you. I mean men have no problem asking for what they want so why do you ?

Thank you SO much for talking about this! I’m 27 but I still have an incredibly hard time talking about sex or my sexuality - even though I’m in an incredibly healthy, committed, awesome relationship with my husband, there was so much shame programmed into me when I was young that it’s hard to shake. I was also never given any sex education growing up aside from - “don’t do it! You’ll be damaged goods and ruined!” (Raised in a super conservative Christian environment). Hearing a lovely and intelligent woman talk about sex in a comfortable and gentle way is SO helpful and healing for me. Truly, thank you so much. This really helps me. 💜

I've never faked an orgasm; I've been with my current partner for the vast majority of my sexual life, and to be honest I just frankly explained to him that I'm not always going to orgasm every time, sometimes it happens, sometimes it doesn't, and for me personally I don't feel like I absolutely have to orgasm to enjoy it. I'm asexual but I love watching these type of videos for some reason! I think it's just i find it interesting to see the perspective of people who actually do experience sexual attraction, and especially since no one really educated us about it in school. It'd be great to have asexual perspectives eventually implemented into sex education! I also think that although i don't want to have sex, it's important to be educated on it to some degree (e.g. safety, people taking advantage of you thinking that because you're asexual then you won't know nothing and won't be able to tell). I don't really know how to explain it lol but yeah. Your videos are so informative and you're so chill like I feel like I'm chatting with a friend when I'm watching them lol!

I have never faked an orgasm, I just didn't used to orgasm at all. I think it's important that we understand and educate that sex can still be enjoyable without having an orgasm (for both men and women) as sometimes it just doesn't happen and there's no reason for either party to apologise. However it is also important that if either party does want to orgasm then it is equally important and one person shouldn't miss out just because the other person has reached climax first. For me personally I can't orgasm from penetration alone and need clitoral stimulation and I've had to learn that that is ok.

I LOVE THAT YOU MENTIONED FERTILITY AWARENESS METHODS. THANK YOU FOR THAT. Because you are very right that the implant, patches, the nuva-ring and coils like Mirena and Jaydess are hormonal as well. And if you had bad side effects from the pill, I would not suggest you try another hormonal form of birth control. Non-hormonal forms of contraception are: condoms (and yes, if used correctly, they are very safe), female condoms, diaphragm (please have your size determined by a professional because the Caya-diaphragm does NOT fit everyone. It fits MOST women, but not everyone!), the copper coil, the copper chain (Gynefix) and Fertility Awareness Methods. For specific information on the latter, I would highly recommend Tony Weschler's book Taking Charge Of Your Fertility.

I had to read and watch many videos about 'learning to actually love yourself', visualize daily, work on and manifest my best version. Agree with everything mentioned, was also glad when I learnt these as well :-) One extra thing I'll note though that wasn't really mentioned but might be helpful for some, was letting go of guilt surrounding sex. I think many of us tend to start out with a lot of shame around the topic, & journaling is a particularly useful tool to maybe help recogise patterns or any unhealthy thoughts surrounding sex, or how we feel about ourselves during/afterwards etc. Personally didn't realise how many issues I had with the shame/guilt element until my 4yr relationship when I hit 24... I'm sure I'm not the only one, hopefully someone else finds this helpful ❤ Thanks Mel, great video. All the best, Emma from Australia.

just a quick medical perspective on the contraceptive thing, if you find that the pill doesn't suit you or you are sensitive to hormonal contraceptives, the copper coil is a great alternative, it is non-hormonal so should not have the side effects you experience with something like the pill, it is around 99% effective when inserted correctly, it lasts for up to 10 years but can be removed if you decide to try to conceive, also most people describe the sensation as more uncomfortable rather than painful and pain is usually similar to period cramps and should not last long
@Pr0fessorScience5 жыл бұрын
Feel like there should always be a disclaimer added when people promote the copper IUD (which I do think is a great bc option) - it has the potential to fall right out if you have a heavy flow, and if the flow's that heavy it'll be hard for you to notice a teensy piece of copper has come out of you. I found that out the hard way :-\

A big tip for all people who suffer from UTIs after sex: If you take D-Mannose (which is a kind of sugar) before sex and after (and also maybe some hours later too to be sure) - you don't get UTIs cause the bacteria attach to it instead of the bladderwalls and get flushed out before causing an infection. Important: It is only preventative, so you (mostly) cannot take it to treat an infection just to prevent it from happening! There are studies on that as well in case anyone wants to read up on it.

I am SO PROUD OF YOU for opening up! Talking about that kind of stuff is extremely hard, probably more than I can even imagine, especially on the internet, but once someone speaks up, it's easier for others to do the same. Thank you for being a role model!

I also completely agree with what you said about the contraceptive pill! I’m 21 and have been on it since I was 16. I’m a person with quite severe mental health problems and I feel like putting a lot of extra hormones into my body doesn’t help my mind so much. I’m excited to finally be coming off of it and seeing if my mental health improves. I’m thinking of using an alternative option that doesn’t generate hormones like the coil maybe. Of course, the pill does work for some, but definitely not for all, and I feel like a lot of people aren’t so educated on the different contraceptions which is why they (and myself) rush into using it then ending up staying on it despite it not having such positive impacts.

Great video, loving how open you are. I am however glad that you emphasised that cycle planning should only be done in serious relationships (and I would add, when you’re of a certain age). Some ladies, like myself, are extremely fertile and could probably become pregnant any day of the month!;) So I would def not recommend cycle planning for young girls. Lots of love!

Silje Brekke oh 100%! It’s something that makes far more sense for women my age/in relationships 🤗💚 Young people regularly mess up putting condoms on properly let alone regularly checking temperature etc etc but it IS the best one I ever tried, with condoms on days around fertility and pull out however I’m with someone I want a family with so each to their own and that’s my whole point it’s important to self educate and find the right one for you 🤗💚

I have the copper IUD as well and while I love it and my side effects are much less than what I had with hormonal birth control, I have more cramps, longer periods, and have to take iron and zinc supplements so that I don't have mood swings. So it is good but it's still some work!

Wow. You are incredible and inspiring. I have had a problem with a porn addiction in the past, and totally agree with what happens in the porn industry and have met a few of these girls/guys in person. I am currently on the IUD and I agree there is hormones involved but a lot less than the pill. It is VERY worth it but remember everyone's body is different.

Your section about regular std checks is brilliant ❤️ Thank you for being so open. Myself and a partner I was with a while back agreed to get tested very early on in the relationship. Turns out he had contracted chlamydia from a previous relationship. I practice safe sex with condoms to thankfully he hasn’t passed it on, but we waited it out until he was fully clean instead of ending then and there. It was a scary time but I’m really glad I did stick around because I grew an appreciation for the various forms of sex that could be enjoyed within that time. It also gave me a greater sympathy for those who do get an std, I’ve always used condoms but one easily could’ve broke within that time period before his results and then we both would’ve needed treatment

Hormonal depression and weight gain which massively affected my confidence were 2 side effects I got from the combined pill. I don’t say this to scare people because if the pill is good for you then that’s great, but it’s important to know what side effects to look out for because the most dangerous thing was that I didn’t know about the side effects and therefore didn’t know why I was like that, it was just pure luck that I came off the pill and realised that’s what was affecting me

I absolutely love these videos, I think your attitude towards sex and education is so encouraging and really helps people overcome the shame they feel when talking about these difficult subjects. I did want to mention however that asexuality doesn't necessarily mean that someone won't be having sex. There are so many identities under the 'asexual' umbrella and this video is useful for every one of them. As an asexual myself in a committed relationship, I felt a little disgruntled when you said that and then just brushed over it. Whether or not you experience sexual attraction doesn't necessarily change your physical ability to experience pleasure. I've been really enjoying your content and can't wait for more of this series in the future.

Katie Luxmoore thank you for sharing! I absolutely didn’t intend to offend - I actually thought I was being pretty inclusive by stopping myself from saying ‘everyone is driven by sex in their twenties’, I wanted to acknowledge that not everyone is, and in all my experience with asexual people IRL (friends etc) they tell me sex just isn’t something they prioritize/it’s something they rarely think about...of course I know you guys *can* have sex though, that’s why I said *hi* directly to you all! 🤗💚

Only a few minutes in but I am very pleased to say I’ve never faked an orgasm in my life and I think my relationship with my now fiancé has benefited from that because he knows what gets me there every time 😍 I am trying to explain to him that he doesn’t have to beat “records” where he’s made me orgasm multiple times in the past, working on that one because that’s so much pressure

Thank you for this video. This conversation needed to be had. Please make more videos on how to communicate with your partner in the bedroom. I think women will benefit from talking about their sexual needs so they can climax. I think this is the reason why alot of us fake an orgasm, it's because our partners are clueless about what we want, and we are scared to tell them. Well done 👏👏
