As someone on the right sight of the law, I find Spanians into the hood series quite insightful and almost educational in a sense. The videos have an undercurrent of hope, redemption and people trying to fight their way back to a better life… This video wasn’t any of that, I just felt uneasy in this video, there was very little insight, no story of hope and almost glorified everyone’s poor behaviour. Whether Spanian realised or not he was borderline promoting this behaviour. Found it amusing, laughed, and was giggling. He is a role model and needed to be better here. This wasn’t what I thought Into the Hood is, this was just Spanian flexing how popular he’s become, almost proud of he ‘shut down the street’ A shame really. It would’ve been much better to show Melton with Spanian with one or two others, so we could actually see, hear and learn the struggles of Melton.

This episode wasn't a very good one. Whereas the others show the area, with some locals who have generally made good for themselves, this just showed a group of people following yourself, there was really nothing about the suburb. I know this is your channel, and I probably have no right to ask, but I would like to request that you don't glorify those breaking traffic laws. Those are the acts that kill, just look at Picton NSW last year, as one example, of many. Also, it is encouraging and glorifying criminal activity, something I thought, as a role model, who has been on the wrong side of the law and made a good life for yourself, you'd want to discourage.

Your videos are great Spanian, but the hood tours are beginning to feel less authentic as more people come out and show up for you and act rowdy. In the late 1980's I worked in the CBD and my supervisor Lorraine was a young mother with a husband and kids and she used to live in Melton. It was a brand new suburb still being developed back then and she told me her and her family had bought a house there because it was cheaper to buy being a brand new suburb and they had lots of room. I remember us talking a lot about how much travel time she spent getting to the CBD and back home each day, it took her ages, but she said it was really worth it for what they had there and a great place for her kids to grow up. Times change.

This is a total exaggeration! I've lived in Melton for the last 19 years and it's the fastest-growing suburb in Victoria, if not Australia. This doesn't happen if the suburb was rough as guts. Yes, we definitely need better public transport as the government needs to electrify the train line so we get more trains. Yes, Melton South is rough (I live right behind the train station) compared to other parts of Melton, but that's certainly changing as the property prices increase. I've never once seen gangs of kids like this on the street or people doing burnouts. Sorry Spanian, I think most of the people you were chatting to were blowing smoke up your pipe. Why didn't you interview regular people who live and work and bring up their families here?!

Lived in Melton 20 years moved from Kurunjang (after a car across the road was set on fire) to weir views (where we had a dodgy home owner nearly force us out the house) to Brookfield (where groups of children would curse at cars) back to Melton west (where we have had neighbours cars stolen and crackheads squatting in the house next door) Melton wasn’t always a shithole bits it’s getting progressively worse and people hit ya with well it hasn’t happened to me yeah brother doesn’t mean it hasn’t happened to a lot of others

Honestly I’m not seeing any of the comments talking shit that you used for your narrative to shit on the rest of the country 🤷🏻♂️ instead of promoting these guys that talk about their crimes like it makes them tough why aren’t you pointing them in the right direction instead of glorifying it, I get everyone idolises you and wants your attention, seriously these people look up to you, you could be doing good for them by calling out home invasions instead of laughing about it like it’s cool, I’m sure my comment will trigger your fan boys but whatever 🤷🏻♂️ I don’t have notifications turned on anyway so let them spaz out at nothing.

Fr I get ya but in this context it would be real awkward to do that, Spanian has good social awareness. You wouldn't start dissing one of those dudes when he has a dozen of his homeboys begging for an excuse to get violent. I don' t think hes glorifying it but hes giving really good insight into what its like, the flaws in the system. For Melbs to have ghettos and gang problems really paints a bad picture and makes you wonder where tf our taxes are going, why isnt this shit being fixed and why the social programs, welfare etc is failing. This is the sort of questions these videos make you ask and it is good. It a form of investigative journalism without it being dubbed that way (the dipshits in the video think its clout, but hes really exposing how fucking sad and ridiculous they are)

@@Comatosedpeanut um...I lived in Melton, my grandmother lived there for about 17 years (around 1998 is when I lived there). It's called traveling/moving. My mother did a lot of it. We even lived in Midland Perth. It was more dangerous than Melton. I currently live in Brisbane but last year lived in Newcastle. So I have a clue. Doonside is a lot more dangerous than Melton was, when I was there. I've lived in every Australian state.
