Hey man, probably the best tutorials on youtube that ive seen. And youre really good too. One thing that no tutorials seems to mention is time. How much should you practice? How long does it take to reach certain baselines?

It took me about 2 months to get good. I only practiced for maybe 20 mins every 3 days. Pretty much anytime I heard any Trance/Electro/Dance music, I would just randomly try shuffling for a bit for my own enjoyment. Eventually I stopped having to think about each move, and did it naturally without thinking. That is when I would say I "got it"

Where is the next tutorial that you mentioned in the video? :) I found this really helpful, thanks.

I haven't made it yet, I could make it later in-doors cause there is snow where I live. Glad you enjoyed it !

Having my foot in front during the mid step makes a difference to me, specifically when the bass kicks in and I'm lifting my legs higher to stomp. The example I showed at the start is me just doing it casually at a lower energy, in which case I would agree it doesn't make much of a difference

Good video, except you contradict yourself in your teaching and in your example at the beginning. You don't need to have your foot in front of your center when you're making the "mid" picture. If you keep your feet centered side by side, it looks cleaner imo, and that's also what your "frame by frame" pictures are showing me anyways. Also to add, if you have your foot come in front of you during your "mid" step, you tend to look out of balance. Just a thought. All in all, good video. -DCStyle
