just started learning how to shuffle at 51, finally after about a month figured out how to do the running man where it looks like the running man and my brain, feet and legs are not fighting each other. Saw this video today and saw the other 2 variants. Put some duct tape on some old running shoes. got it figured out in about 3 songs due to how well Brian explains things. OMG the duct tape is a godsend. Suddenly had to keep going since I could do the moves more smoothly. Thank you Brian from the bottom of my heart. For any future videos, you may want to show the moves from behind as well so we can more easily see how our legs and feet are supposed to go otherwise we are working with a mirror image.

THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! !♡♡♡ You, (straight up!) have THE BEST tutorial out there! I'm 54 now. I used to pick up dance moves when I was younger like it was nothing - but this shuffle dance thing has been my kryptonite!! I'd watch other videos where they had tape marks on the floor ... all totally legit tutorials ... but I STILL couldn't do it. I'd watch those videos and attempt it - but I looked like Shemp (3 stooges) trying to dance! I was a gymnast and a cheerleader in my younger days; I know how to dance; WHY can't I pick this up?! My teenagers were on the floor dying laughing at me. I was like, what is WRONG with me?! Is it part of the getting older thing, cuz if it is, kill me now! Turns out, your "drop and hop" was all I needed! So simple. You are an EXCELLENT teacher! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! (and my giggly teens thank you, too!)❤

This is by far the best tutorial!! Pro shufflers teach the first type shuffle which requires a lot of strength and is very hard to do in a fast combo. While in reality in their own fast paced videos they do the lite shuffle that he does in the end. The lite shuffle is supposed to be done for the fast combos but nobody teaches that. Thank you for teaching that.

Really great tutorial Brian, really thorough explanation and you importantly included body weight and centre of gravity which no-one else mentions. Just a tip, it's a good idea to summarise what you learned at the end of any lesson. It would have been great if you had demonstrated all 3 steps at the end at full speed for 30 seconds to 1 minute, to give a holistic sense of the end point of the 3 steps we're learning. But otherwise, great stuff, you've really clarified an important point - there's not just one Running Man!
