Not good for tipping but good to see Brisbane back. This is the Brisbane we've been expecting. That was a comprehensive thumping. Felt like a 8 goal win. Their defence and pressure was excellent, so too the coaching. The usual names had a big game, but shoutout to Lester who was terrific too.

Wouldn’t be going over the top. Melbourne’s third game in just under 2 weeks with Salem going off after 5 mins, no Pickett, no Melksham and no Bowey meant Melbourne in hindsight for most most were ripe for the picking. I came into the match extremely worried and it showed. I actually tipped against us as I knew Brisbane’s form wasn’t as bad as most made it out to be. Not an excuse, but legitimate reasons for Melbourne’s severe drop in energy. Let’s see how they go against Geelong. Beat Geelong and I’ll believe they are 100% back.

Brisbane forwards really stepped up this week. Charlie Cameron couldn’t be stopped and Lever was not the right match up for him. The choice from Melbourne to put Oliver at half back was one of the most bizarre coaching decisions I’ve seen all season from a top 8 team.

Relax man, you should know better than that. You can’t win every game and of course you’re going to have a shocker now and then. The Lions had a few shockers before they got their act together. Melbourne had two tough games on the road with a 5 day break between games. I’m not taking anything away from the Lions they played magnificently and deserved the win. So be a bit civil it’s a long season.
